Well then my suspicious monitor just went up.
I can't think of a single good explanation why Aruban officials would let the FBI fly 7 guys over there, complete with gear, and then not let them use it.
Unless there are a lot more bodies offshore than we think.
So why do I keep *thinking* I read or heard something about a message saying "Something bad has happened."
I read that on one of the threads. Is this the third thread? If so, it was on #2, IIRC.
Brigette, I want to be sure I understand your position. Do you want this thread to be just for posting info, with no speculation or discussion? If you do, that's fine, you have done a wonderful job of putting together all this info! If that is what you want, maybe the thread should be labeled such?

If I remember correctly Joran told Deepak that he was going to e-mail him on 5/29, but never did per news reports. Is that the night you are speaking of?

I have hopes that Texas Equusearch will turn up something this weekend, if only Natalee's garments. And wasn't she wearing jewelry? There must be some trace of her there on that Island, or nearby offshore. It's like looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack, but Equusearch has a 70% success rate.

After the TWA 800 crash, the Navy divers found bodies and belongings for many weeks after it happened, in the ocean. Of course, that was in the North Atlantic where the waters are cold.
That was stated by one of the brothers, (early on, when they were taken to polis station, the second time.) Deepak or Sastish.

That was in the news Howlin. That was reported as what Joran had told LE during the time that it was misreported that Natalee's body had been found or that Natalee was dead.
And let me add (If I remember correctly).:)

I hear you. I didn't mean to directly compare the HURT caused by the two different things. I was only commenting on the somewhat similar need to be concerned about such matters.
I often wonder what some here would do without the 24 hour news cycle.
But, I hear you. I did not mean to suggest that the speculation here on Natalee was or is at all the same hurtful and cruel action as that of the person in my childhood.

Q. Your feelings from day one
A. Very bad, innocent. Never seen her before, never seen them before. At beach party during the day (by the HI?), not there at night. All made up. Black security guard, black shirt, black pants. Put bits and pieces together and came and arrested me and my colleague.
Q: Treat you good? Force you to say something?
A: No, never forced me to say anything
Q: You were able to confront the three, how did it go?
A: Just talked to Deepak from Surinam, he didn't know who I was. I was interviewing him in the cell. Detective asked him if he knew me, no. Same for me, never saw him before. He said story about Holiday Inn all made up, never brought her back there. He was driving from C&C, Natalee behind him. Joran behind his brother. Dropped them off near the Mariott, Joran and Natalee, after the lighthouse. He went home and went online. He said she was very very drunk, nothing about drugs, heavily influenced by alcoholic beverages. About 2:30, back near the Mariott.

When Joran arrived home that night, he text messaged one of the brothers and said "Hey, we need to talk about this" and they met at his pool and came up with the story about dropping Natalee off at the hotel.
