LOS ANGELES -- Rhett Butler said it best -- "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."
That parting shot in 1939's "Gone With the Wind" topped the list of the American Film Institute's best quotes from American movies.
Clark Gable's line beat out a pair of Marlon Brando classics -- "I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse" from "The Godfather" and "I coulda been a contender" from "On the Waterfront."
Judy Garland's realization in "The Wizard of Oz" -- "I've got a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore" -- was fourth.
In fifth place was "Casablanca" and Humphrey Bogart's "Here's looking at you, kid."
"Casablanca" led the list with six quotes.
Poker, just a game?
Make the stitches bigger.
He was drafted.
Hot Lips? Screw her!
How do you want your steak cooked?
Take two of these and call me in the morning.
Seven years of college , right down the drain.
"Haa-re-woood! Haa-re-woood!" "1941" 1979
"You sure got purty teeth." Deliverance
Ping, some good quotes.
I would say "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life"
I would say "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life"

That must rank as one of the best "so stupid, it's funny" movies.
Take off you hoser.
My family can almost recite Gone With The Wind. Our favorite quote is Big Sam screaming, "Hoss, make tracks!" but Prissy's "I don't know nuthin bout birthin babies" is a close second.
My favorite lines from "Predator":
"I ain't got time to bleed"
"There's something out there, and it ain't no man"
"Real nasty habit you've got there"
"I'm choppin', but no chips are flyin'." - General Frank Savage, Twelve O'Clock High
"It's good to be the king."
Well, when Scarface had it's 20th anniversary, I "DRAGED" my wife to see it. (Talk about a change of places).
BTW when GWTW had it's 60th anniveresary, we went to see it.
IMHO, seeing it at the threater is the only TRUE Place to see it. (And this is a Damn Yankee saying it)!!
Classic. Great Movie!
"Hear me, oh people of Israel! I bring you these fifteen, (crash) OY! TEN! TEN COMMANDMENTS for all to obey!
"Can you make a torpedo Mr. Allnut? Then make a torpedo, Mr. Allnut!"
