How would it look as a tag-line if people started '(American By Birth, New Yorker By The Grace Of God , or, Chicagoan by the grace of God, Northerner, Rhode Islander, Jersey City by the grace of God -etc, etc. ?

You never see those examples. It looks rather silly. correct

How come some 'Southerners' must attempt to separate themselves from the rest of the nation?

Personally, I think it would be okay. If you're proud of what state or region you're from, go for it. It wouldn't irritate me, and I wouldn't have a problem with it.

The examples you provided would only look silly because they would be devoid of any originality, but who cares it only a tag line.

The insinuation of your last question is far more insightful and telling of yourself than I think you realized. The question is rhetorical and isn't deserving of an answer.

Now that you mention it, some people all over the nation do through their cars license plate. The ones which cost a little more.

What insinuation? It's true so you will not respond - That's rather silly, since you made the point in your own tag-line :)

Here it is again: 'How come [some] 'Southerners' must attempt to separate themselves from the rest of the nation?' Note I stated 'some', not all.

Unbelievable. You ask a question as if you don't have a clue and follow up with a rhetorical statement as to the truth of the question and my opinion it didn't deserve a response. If you didn't know and intend the insinuation how could you possibly speak to its truth.

There isn't a "point" in my tagline, other than... I do thank God everyday for giving me the parents I have and where I'm from. I love the South better than any other region in this great country, but admittedly I'm bias because it's where I was born and raised. I love the South "best", not that I think it's "better" ... understand the difference?

Here it is again: 'How come [some] 'Southerners' must attempt to separate themselves from the rest of the nation?' Note I stated 'some', not all.

I assume your talking about some sort of separatist movement. The question is rhetorical because:

1. Most separatist groups are racist groups. The answer is obvious.

2. Separatist/Supremacist groups aren't only in the South and aren't exclusively limited to the white race.

3. I'm not a member. Why ask me?
