I hope they're drawing the net as we FReep! :o)
They do morning drive radio, like from 5 a.m. until 9. It's only a part-time gig for him, he's a professor at UAB in Birmingham.
The way I would feel also. Horrible things can happen in spite of the very best of precautions. We all know that. We hear about it every day. It is just, IMHO, in this case, precaution was thrown to the wind in lieu of allowing these kids to have some freedom. Not worth the price to me.
Teenagers not only are more naive than they believe, they also think they are invincible and nothing can harm them. That is not a condemnation, it is just they way most of them are at that age.

possibly another arrest not confirmed.
That would be a real good guess.
Did you hear Greta talking to the guy that was a friend of the brothers. He didn't know Sloot, never heard of him. When asked about drugs at CnC he said oh yeah! When asked what type he mentioned a couple and one of them was ecstasy.
This guy arrested this morning, are they saying he's a Marriott employee? Sorry, I just got back from the store.
They sure make it sound that way. Think it is mentioned in the brochure? /sarcasm
I haven't read that. He is supposedly someone van der Sloot is associated with. Not sure how closely, it was said "runs around with." Supposedly 26 yrs old, but another mentioned perhaps younger. Only the initials SGC have been given as identification for this person. I believe that is what has been said so far.
Yes, a beach bum type of person who wroked at Marriott and who held underground parties. Apparently, parties in Aruba must be cleared first with the authorities. The underground parties are unregulated.
I think there may have been an arrest after that guy, too. Someone heard that on the Aruban radio at SM. Will try to confirm.

hasibokos has ammend the site now and it says
UPDATE 29: Hasibokos.com has just received information and confirmation that there has been an additional arrest in the Natalee Holloway case. We can also inform that Hasibokos.com has received information that indicates that the Aruban court is leaning towards extending the arrest of the 3 young suspects without charging them officially for a crime (we are waiting for confirmation on this as the court session is still in progress)
Thanks.
Teenage girls raised in good homes, protected and pretty sheltered, don't have that instinct one gets over time to watch over the shoulder, be careful who you talk to, don't accept men at face value and so on.
That said, I once, at age 59, came out of an airport late at night, tired from an all day flight, and got right into a white car that a man in a uniform was standing by, assumed it was a cab. I had a close call and only was unhurt because I put my hand in my carry bag searching for my cell phone when I realized his intentions. My cell was not there {packed} and I froze with my hand in the bag. He kept looking at me and then brought me to my daughters home unhurt. It was only later that I realized why I was unhurt,,he thought I was carrying!!! My son in law told me that.
THe point is, I am a safe, observant, somewhat paranoid travelor {my kids say I am paranoid} and I had lapse, a small one. And escaped by luck and I know it can happen to anyone.
Take that kind of talk to a Terri thread, Leni. We don't need that division on this one..
Ok, what is up with the latest arrest? When the two security gurads were arrested their names were revealed and pictures of them. When the three guys were arrested their names were revealed and their pictures. But, now, with this 26 year old, we get initials, no name and as far as I know, no picture. Is this more cya, find someone else to pin the blame on so the judge in training's son can go free?
<sometimers strikes again>
However, in a group, with peer pressure to be a bit cavalier, anyone becomes very vunerable. She was an easy target because she willingly left her group of friends. I don't think she is to "blame" for what happened, but it just proves that unwise behavior can lead to tragedy, and one should never take chances in a strange place, with people who are not well known.
Make that INTERNATIONAL Law. Her mom was making a point and giving a jab at the same thime. :)
