Agreed.

But it was also proven too that the victim was an out of control brat who was caught numerous times sneaking into the wine cellar on his own to get a drink too.

The juror's reasonable doubt would go right out the window if their kids or grandkids had to spend the nite with MJ.

"Be sure to come back and crow when the next boy is molested by Michael Jackson. It will be on YOUR head, too."

What part did I paraphrase incorrectly?

Exactly. I'm waiting for a reporter to ask, "So will you be allowing YOUR sons/grandsons/nephews to go on sleep-overs at Neverland with Michael Jackson"???? Of course, in our celebrity-crazed culture there may still be people willing to do so....

Which is why the guilty ask for jury trials, and not a bench trial.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. BUT This statement is painting with too broad a brush. The Founding Fathers knew what it was like to have trials by a professional, a judge, who would be a "rubber stamp" for the prosecution. They didn't want to leave cases brought by the Crown decided by those appointed by that same Crown.

I have spent 25 years both prosecuting and defending criminal cases and believe in the jury system in this country. Yes, there are cases where it seems justice is not done, but they are the exception rather than the rule.

I hope if you are ever called to jury duty, you will inform the judge and lawyers your opinion about juries in voir dire. Not just the guilty seek juries. The right to a jury was important enough to be put in the Bill of Rights. Don't throw out a sacred right because you don't like the result in a couple of high profile cases.

Most people don't understand how pedophiles work, that they use positions of trust, where they'll be around children, in order to molest at will. You don't want to believe that the scout master or the minister or the man next door is a pedophile, but they're teachers, work with the handicapped...the most vulnerable. They come from all walks of life, and they're truly monsters among us. This jury threw in the towel. I think those two women who wept openly wanted to find him guilty and gave up under pressure. When asked why she cried, she shifted her eyes, looked very uncomfortable, and finally said, "The trial was finally over, and we were emotional." She lied.

I didn't hear that testimony about the victim. But didn't other witnesses testify that MJ provided alcohol to other minors?

"My God, he's going to go scot-free..."

MJ is no Scot...and there is nothing free in Scot-land.

They testimony was that they saw the kids drinking from the can that MJ has HIS wine in.

No positive proof that MJ was giving the kids the ine that I recall.

Thanks for those mini-bios.......entirely too many connections to MJ imo. Not one juror could give a specific piece of evidence that convinced them to vote not guilty. But they "worked hard". Billie Jeff used to say that too.

I thought an airline employee testified she saw MJ drinking wine from a coke can and that he was giving drinks to minors? Am I incorrect?
