He can't ever again be charged with molesting this boy under these specific circumstances.
But if he molests someone else (or even if he somehow molests this boy at a later date), he can certainly be charged.

Lack of credibility of the witnesses and plaintiffs got MJ off...
To: Howlin
There were NO blacks. Just guilty whites.
Well said Howlin...can't believe this one.

Hey, the race card WAS brought up by Jesse Jackson and that was a threat!

My heart is troubled. I have sons and if anyone ever did what M.J. did to kids I would personally pull his ying yang off his freaking body. This is going to sound cruel, but here is one way to lessen the chances.
Don't let your children sleep over at the house of a known child molester. Of course the crime is the responsibility of the perp, but there are ways to protect your children.

True. I have no doubt that there are some who are serving lengthy sentences on crimes with lesser evidence, and of course, they had lesser resources.

Matthew 18:6
And if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone tied around his neck.

By supporting him, you are.
Get me banned if you must stiffle my opinion.
And frankly, I have nothing to be ashamed of; I'm not the one thinking it's all hunky dorey that a pedophile is on the loose to night.
To: Yaelle
If there is a saving grace...MJ in jail wouldn't have lasted long..however, a broke, has-been and ignored MJ outside..well, it may be a worse fate..
To: Thorin
Exactly. BTW, I also have little faith in the jury system.
I really despair at the state of our courts--I'm not sure it's possible to get true, blind justice anymore.

I can say what I think, but apparently the Jackson Faction needs to call in the mods to shut me up.
To: sofaman
Can't convict on the probability that he molested the kid. What about the other charges, such as providing alcohol to a minor?

Question: What do you call the attorney who graduated last in his law school class?
Answer: Mr. District Attorney.
To: LWalk18
"he did the best he could but the victim and his mother were fatal to this case."
I don't think the testimony of the mother would be relevant in relation to whether or not Jackson committed those crimes against the victim.

As a "gun nut", do you know what the law says about taking a child to a shooting range? Off topic I know but my niece's husband has been taking my nephew who is four to a shooting range to shoot the husband's 38 caliber handgun.
To: Howlin
Can you accept that people can think he is a pedophile and the prosecution didn't meet their burden of proof?
Thankfully, I did not really watch this one that close.

I just know that if I am on a jury, I am going to take the background of everyone in the case into account, and in general, if someone has a record of ripping off people in order to make a living, I'm not gonna trust anything they have to say.
