I think that a lot of time the press irritate and annoy GWB and that irritation shows and then the point he is trying to get across gets somehow lost as he tries to control his anger and irritation with them.

Thanks for the link. And I see that thursday we have:
Biden: Saudis Fighting U.S. in Iraq
Biden: Saudis Fighting U.S. in Iraq
We at OP have long suspected this to be the case.
More foreign fighters than ever are crossing Iraq's porous borders to fight U.S. and Iraqi forces, and a growing number are from U.S.-ally Saudi Arabia, a Senate Democrat said Thursday.
"The mix is changing," said Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del., citing conversations last week in Iraq with Marine and Army generals. "Now, the mix is increasingly more Islamist crossing the border ... and a lot of them are Saudis. It presents a different profile" that is harder for U.S. forces to confront.

...and the Libs and their ilk play on this and infer that International laws etc have been broken. I know...what offends me is they feel they are intellectually above the rest of us, however, I found and actually read the Geneva Convention rules and they clearly did not!

Treating them in the courts would supposedly give them recognition, status, and possible release by some liberal judges. We already tried that with the 1993 Bombing of the World Trade Center
It didn't work
September 11, 2001 proves that

Listen! I'm a President Bush fan. I just went to Mudville Gazette media run down and it was depressing.
President Bush has given very substantive, excellent speeches, especially on foreign policy.
I would like to see President Bush give a nationwide speech, updating the War on Terror, its goals, the Iraq front, what lies ahead, our detention policy.
It's time. This constant drip, drip, drip is killing him.

Bush surprised numerous reporters when he told them he quit reading their papers or listening to their analysis. Makes sense to me too. He's the one making the news and already knows what he means. He does not need these idiots explaining it to him.
It would be great if Bush were as eloquent as Blair, but he's not. I agree with other posts. Judge Bush by his actions, not his speaking abilities. For those, we can all just get a good laugh from them. He's simply "misunderestimated."

Is Dean being the Roelm to Hitlary?
Sadly the republicans are too WEAK and pathetic (lott, mccain, snow, martinez) to be able to fight ANYTHING.

I'm watching Chris Mathews Sunday show .. and he showed a clip of Bush and Blair at a press conference and then showed a clip of Hugh Grant in a movie acting like Tony Blair
Why does Chrissy ALWAYS compare real life with the movies???

If the indigenous Iraqi population does not support these foreign terrorists, they will have no safe haven. The bulk of those people dying at their hands are Iraqis, not Americans. I see the influx of Saudis, et. al., as a sign of desperation. The "insurgents" must be having recruitment problems.

Duncan Hunter is great on Fox. Malinowski, the HR guy, is a smarmy nut case. He uses that soft, reasonable sounding NPR voice, but what he says is just plain wrong. I love Hunter's rundown of the menu. He points out that if we called Americans to prayer 5 times a day, the ACLU would be all over it.

However, if you can watch the entire presser live, not just sound bytes from the LSM later, his point is never lost.

Chris goes to the movies and believes they're real. Silly man simply isn't plugged in to anything else besides the DNC. His ratings are so low that thank goodness few Americans "get to listen" to him. LOL
To: Mo1
Because Mathews lives in a fantasy world where the left is supposed to win.

GWB communicates with people IMHO far better than Blair. I love the way he can talk to small children and older people so naturally also the military.
Tony Blair cannot do with with normal everyday people but he can handle the press better.
Actions speak louder than words and GWB wins that hands down.

I believe in Pittsburgh they call something like that a boilermaker.
I don't think the steel workers of Pittsburgh were too choosy about what went into what as long as it was beer and whisky...maybe a cold Iron city (Arn city)
I have recently found the pleasures on drinking a shot of Jameson's along with my guiness or bass or Smithwick's. back in the my early 20's, I would have shot the whisky cannonballed with a couple chugs of beer. ;o) Cannonball comin'.

I would like to see President Bush give a nationwide speech, updating the War on Terror, its goals, the Iraq front, what lies ahead, our detention policy. He does that .. he has been giving speeches about the WOT and different issues during the week .. for the last several weeks .. FNC has aired them
But I do recall the last national speech/press conference he gave .. ABC and others broke in with the news of Mark Felt
IF you can't see what the media is doing .. then I don' know what to say
