If he did it, I'm sure someone can crack him. If the rumor is true then the innocent one should be willing to take a polygraph (maybe that's what these Dutch experts have come for).

Anyway, the current rumor is that the silver honda belongs to the oldest of the 2 brothers and that Joran says that they dropped him off at his house before Natalee was taken to the HI. I guess one would have to see what was in the original witness statement that was given to police.

I am wondering the same thing but I think the answer lies in the fact that reporters were high-tailing it to Aruba to be on the scene, not knowing how to connect the dots. This week should bring plenty of interviews with these kids, I would think, because they may hold clues to the puzzle.

It sure does look like the blame game now that these details are coming forth. But are they true or just rumors?

What I don't get is why we haven't heard more interviews of this kind, with her fellow students. People who were there, and can shed light on vatious pieces of the puzzle. You would think this is the first thing the media would go for.

Natalee's friends and aunt in Birmingham were given interviews weekend before last, but the flow of info ceased due to FBI instructions which is a good thing. After this weekend with all the confessions, retractions, and rumors, my head is still spinning.

Who knows if you can believe anything that comes out of that place anymore. The only people I would believe at this point are the FBI but I guess they feel they have to work behind the scenes.

Lawyers Filing for Release of Aruba Guards

Monday June 13, 2005 2:46 PM

By PETER PRENGAMAN

Associated Press Writer

ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) - Lawyers said they are filing motions Monday demanding a court free two security guards whose innocence was declared by the mother of a missing Alabama teenager.

Also Monday, the family said Natalee Holloway's stepfather plans to organize a new search for the 18-year-old honors student who disappeared May 30 after a night of dancing and drinking and an early morning ride to the beach.

Beth Holloway Twitty said Sunday that three young men in custody who say they took her daughter to a beach hours before she disappeared know what happened, and that if she does not see results soon, she might start to believe that authorities are trying to protect them.

``All three of those boys know what happened to her,'' Beth Holloway Twitty said during a 45-minute interview with The Associated Press in her hotel room at the Holiday Inn, the same hotel her daughter was staying. ``They all know what they did with her that night.''

The three include a 17-year-old Dutch honors student at Aruba International School who is the son of a high-ranking judicial official on the Dutch Caribbean island.

His two detained Surinamese friends told police in their testimony that the three took Holloway to the beach, where the Dutch boy kissed and fondled her in the back of their car, before they returned her to the hotel around 2 a.m.

Holloway Twitty declined to say what she thought the young men had done or whether she thought her daughter was still alive.

The teen vanished hours before she was expected at the airport following a five-day trip to the Dutch Caribbean island with 124 classmates and seven chaperones celebrating their graduation from Mountain Brook High School, near Birmingham, Alabama. Her U.S. passport and packed bags were found in her hotel room.

The three young men were detained Thursday. The two former guards who worked at a hotel not far from the Holiday Inn were detained June 5 after the Surinamese, brothers Satish Kalpoe, 18, and Deepak Kalpoe, 21, told police they last saw Holloway being approached in the hotel car park by a black man in black security guard uniform.

Lawyers for all five insist their clients are innocent, and no one has been charged.

The security guards' lawyers said they will file suit Monday demanding their clients be freed. One, Noraina Pietersz, said ``The prosecution is pretending it has information we don't have. This is turning into a game, carrying on an illogical investigation.''

Prime Minister Nelson Oduber went on national television Sunday night to reaffirm Aruba's commitment to solving the case, saying authorities ``are doing all that is possible to resolve what happened as soon as possible.''

But Holloway Twitty, 44, said she was not satisfied. ``I'm not getting any answers,'' she said. ``I don't feel any further along than the day I got here.''

Composed but clearly tired, she said she had lost 10 pounds (4.5 kilograms) since the search began and was having trouble sleeping. The preschool speech pathologist spoke of drawing strength from her deep faith in God and the support of relatives and concerned Arubans.

She said she saw the former guards - Antonius ``Mickey'' John, 30, and Abraham Jones, 28 - at one point in their custody and ``they looked as surprised as I did with all this.''

``I think they are being wrongly held,'' she said.

She said she reviewed security videos from the Holiday Inn and has concluded that the young men never brought her daughter back to the hotel.

``That story was a lie,'' she said.

Attorney General Caren Janssen said that wasn't the case but declined to elaborate. ``We are still in the middle of an investigation,'' she said.

Investigators have said they are pursuing all leads, and Oduber told a news conference last week that ``nobody stands above the law.''

Islanders and tourists attended church services Sunday to pray for the teen.

Valerie Stanton, a 35-year-old computer technician visiting from Washington, D.C., prayed at the Alto Vista chapel outside the capital. ``This could happen in any city and it's unfortunate a dark cloud is now over the island because people here are so nice,'' she said.

At the Santa Ana Catholic church in the town of Noord, also outside the capital, the Rev. Rudy Lampe told about 300 parishioners to ``pray to give the family an oasis of peace.''

Holloway Twitty said she will not leave Aruba until her daughter is found.

``I will not be satisfied until they give me back my daughter. I want her and I want her now.''

On another thread, about a week ago, I said that we would soon be 2 weeks out and still know nothing about Natalee. I will predict that 2 more weeks will go by and we STILL wont know where Natalee is or what happened to her. I have traveled on business and on vacation in the Caribbean and Central America for over 16 years now. They want our money but they are glad when we go home. Lord help you if you get into any trouble. Dont expect much from your local U.S. Embassy, if there is one. There MAY eventually be a trial but dont look for a conviction of any substance. IF someone is found guilty, dont look for a long sentence. Also, at this point, I would say that the chances of finding Natalees' body are zero. This entire case has been botched from the beginning. We will soon enter the MAJOR A$$ COVERING/DAMAGE CONTROL PHASE.

Bottom line is, when you travel to the Caribbean, you are on your own. If you get into trouble, the only thing that will get you out of it is money. The manner in which the Customs Officer treated you at your point of entry ( Airport ) is a clue. Pay attention. You are a rich American, leave lots of money and go home soon.

Interesting that you bring this up because the latest RUMOR coming out of Aruba is that Joran is insisting that he's being set up by the 2 brothers and of course they are claiming that the opposite is true.

Natalee Holloway a wòrdu asesiná ?

UPDATE 20: TOP95 FM (Aruban radio station) reported on Monday that they have received information about the story that the suspect Joran van der Sloot gave to the police. The radio station got this information from the attorney that is representing the suspect Abraham Jones. Jones is being held at the same location as Joran and he has been hearing/getting information from within the institute. According to the attorney ,Jones declared that Joran is convinced that he is being framed. Joran is saying that he did not go to the lighthouse with the group at all. He testified that after he left the club, he caught a ride home with his Surinamese friends, the brothers Kalpoe. At that time Natalee Holloway was in the car. Joran allegedly testified that the Kalpoes dropped him off at his home and drove off with Natalee in car. It was only afterwards (a few days later), around the swimming pool at his house, that the Kalpoes made plans to come out with one version of the events. But now it seems that they are trying to frame Joran. The attorney also told the radio station that his client has been hearing Joran van der Sloot sobbing a lot lately.

"As Sipowitzh NYPD Blue would say, he "doesn't know jack." NSNR"

Sorry to be so picky but Sipowicz would say, "He don't know jack," or, "Dat don't mean jack." The word "doesn't" wasn't in his vocabulary. :-)

Happy to. He talked about the story coming from Chris Lejeuz
that the boys now have conflicting statements. Lejeuz client, the security guard, is in a cell next to Joran. Joran is saying that the brothers dropped him off that night and that Natalee was to be returned to her hotel. The other 2 are saying that they dropped off both Natalee and Joran at the beach.

hearing Joran van der Sloot sobbing a lot lately

Good. Natalee's family has been "sobbing a lot lately" too. He should have told the truth the first time he was asked. He also didn't have to be a little snot when he talked to Natalee's family.

In today's world with so many young girls participating in competitive physical sports activites then sometimes the hymen is broken by strenuous physical activity. That is particularly true of girls who ride bicycles a lot.....for obvious reasons.

However, there can still be bleeding on the first sexual encounter provided that the hymen is still intact. The notion that there is not bleeding is a fantasy.

( The majority of hymens are broken by the girls themselves because of masturbation but for someone to say that there is no longer bleeding on a first sexual encounter then he/she is living in a dream world. Did hymens suddenly disappear because of evolution? Someone forgot to tell me if they did. )

Amen to that! If Joran's story is true, why not tell investigators this on day one?

I hope they are all framing one another. It's serves them right for lying in the first place. They all think they are so damned smart. I guess they found out they aren't quite the little brainiacs they thought they were.

"Two against one. Who's framing whom?"

That's yet to be determined. Hopefully a resolution will be coming soon.
