On another thread, about a week ago, I said that we would soon be 2 weeks out and still know nothing about Natalee. I will predict that 2 more weeks will go by and we STILL wont know where Natalee is or what happened to her. I have traveled on business and on vacation in the Caribbean and Central America for over 16 years now. They want our money but they are glad when we go home. Lord help you if you get into any trouble. Dont expect much from your local U.S. Embassy, if there is one. There MAY eventually be a trial but dont look for a conviction of any substance. IF someone is found guilty, dont look for a long sentence. Also, at this point, I would say that the chances of finding Natalees' body are zero. This entire case has been botched from the beginning. We will soon enter the MAJOR A$$ COVERING/DAMAGE CONTROL PHASE.
Bottom line is, when you travel to the Caribbean, you are on your own. If you get into trouble, the only thing that will get you out of it is money. The manner in which the Customs Officer treated you at your point of entry ( Airport ) is a clue. Pay attention. You are a rich American, leave lots of money and go home soon.
I think we're well into the a$$ covering mode.
