This [her far-left views] is mainstream? Hardly...and yet the Senate in 1993 allowed an up or down vote in which Republicans crossed the aisle to confirm Ginsburg. But today's Senate is poisoned by a determined minority intent on ideological litmus tests for judicial nominees. Fortunately for the judiciary, the Senate is now at long last confirming judges. Let's hope it continues to do so.
Amazingly (and unfortunately) her views were even "less" mainstream twelve years ago when she was confirmed and yet she was voted in by a Senate that knew she had these views. But back then, the Pubbies were playing by the traditional rules -- the President has the right to nominate who he desires and confirmation is usually assured. No longer.

Isn't it sad to see this group of obnoxious, crybaby Senators undo so many years of a gracefully run Senate. What a novel idea.....the President of the party that wins the White House is entitled to choose judges, a cabinet and Ambassadors with views similar to his. All of a sudden we are supposed to worry about the "rights of the minority" ie LOSERS of elections. Now how exactly does that mean the "will of the people" is being served??
PLus, she had previously voted for the law, notwithstanding her personal views. It shouldn't matter what the personal views of the judge are, because the law is the law.
Once she was in a court where she couldn't be overruled, she dropped the pretense of following the rule of law.
The democrats apparently think that this deception is a universal trait, and not merely the trait of people who have the liberal democrat philosophy. So they can't believe a conservative could possibly follow the law.
