Does anybody really know how color "evolved"?

Yep, it's directly correlated with the length of time a given group lived in an area with a lot of sunlight (the exceptions, such as Eskimos, etc. are because eskimos haven't lived in the artic all that long.

Some examples are the Aryans of Iran and India -- the ones in the colder, northern portions of these two lands tend to be quite light-skinned, though still with melanin (so a light brown skin color), while those in the south of India tend to be dark. The ohter Caucasians in the extreme south of India, the Dravidians (Tamils) can be nearly pitch black, darker than Negroes, but they still have Caucasoid features. ANd no wonder, the land where they live is under a 50C sun in the summer.

This report doesn't explain very much. Is the objection that the busts were in white plaster and unpainted? Were the busts painted to look white skinned? Is it a matter of the features? What exactly is the objection? In Egyptian paintings on tomb walls and monuments, the ancient Egyptians seemed to make a clear color and feature distinction between themselves and black skinned "negroid" Africans, and other groups they enslaved.

If I understand correctly the head that they recreated was probably generated from the forensic anthropometry that was taken of Tut's skull. There are forensic artists who have studied the muscleture and skin depths that occur in the facial area, and through calculated applications of clay upon the skull, can reconstruct the actual features of the deceased. Betty Pat Gatlin is one such artist. She did the facial construction of a mother and child skeleton found in the Lower Pecos area of Texas.

What you see in that headshot on the National Geographic is about as close to the living thing you are going to see...a very realistic representation in my humble opinion.

The pyramids were not tombs and the "pharaohs" were not "fat cats". They were black and very concerned about the lives of their people and not their egos.

Well, "crazy" or not, truth in this case is indeed stranger than fiction. The everyday truths and understanding of the Kemetic people would place them in the categories of "gods" as compared to the mind of so-called modern man. No brag, just fact. I recently, Nov. 15, 2001, did a lecture at N.C.A&T in Greensboro, "A Systems Approach for Determining Your Future", which is highlighted below. One of the students in the audience e-mailed me this link, http://www.guardians.net/hawass/osiris1.htm, where they show pictures of underground tunnels filled with water in what they call "The Osiris Shaft". It seems that some of the students at that lecture took my advice and began to study things not required by their university teachers (smile).

These tunnels were once a part of a vast underground water system connecting the pyramids to cities throughout ancient Egypt. The Romans were not the first to build aqueducts, but to attribute this type of technology to Black Africans would destroy some of the basic tenants of "white supremacy". Truth about our past has tremendous political implications.

It's a light brown. Not black at all. Not white either.

And one can unwrap a mummy and see one directly:

Here's Ramses II. He's the Pharaoh Moses stood before and said "Let my people go." He's also a light brown (where's he's not moldy) with reddish brown straight hair.
