pit manuver, several times, finally spun out and stopped.

They should shut down that side road to pedestrians and cars. I'm not sure if anyone else is in the vehicle or not. But I don't think it is known or not, but a possibility.
Does anyone know if the cop car doors will stop the force of a bullet that could be shot at them?

I don't think that there is a hostage actually in the van. At first I was thinking so because they said attempted kidnapping.......but reporters locally are not mentioning anything to that affect. Canine unit coming in!!

No, bullets go through doors..that is why they are behind the engine blocks

Did he just stop or is he out of gas?
Tires were blown by spike strips. CHP patrol car bumped him and spun him out of control. Wrecked into the barrier on the side of the highway.
