Definitely Oprah, what would we do without all the fluff poluting the afternoons since 1985?
To: Bringbackthedraft
Given that their radio advertising lists "Oprah, Muhammed Ali, Martin Luther King" among the nominees, there can be no doubt what this leading to. No doubt we will see Bill Clinton, FDR, etc. on the list as well.

I take it there wasn't a category for the American soldier?
To: Bringbackthedraft
In the promo I saw about this, they were pushing Bill Clinton in the same breath as George Washington.
It's a leftist sham, to be expected from Discovery.

"I think the greatest American's are the one's that are nameless and have died wearing the uniform of our country. It's a cheesy opinion to hold but I can think of no greater love of country than to die for it."
YA GOT A GOOD POINT THERE, CAN'T DISAGREE.

I'm with you.
I watched part of "The Greatest American" last night.
Then, this morning, I passed by Arlington National Cemetary on my way to work.
That's where many of the greatest Americans -- far greater than most anyone I saw on TV last night -- lie in repose.

Exactly.
If you logically evaluate the other choices, he has to be #1.
Without him, both in a military and governmental sense, there would be no future Americans to chose from.

Well, there are some issues with the site.
Tried 3 times to vote for Reagan. First attempt just linked to his details. Subsequent clicks on his picture cast a vote for the Wright Brothers, then Carl Sagan. So I quit trying.
Anyone see something fishy here?
