Steve was a good man and loved by a lot of people. My husband and he worked together at Benning a few years back. When we got stationed here at Bragg, they became even closer friends; his wife has become one of my best friends. Our children often played together. Steve had character beyond reproach and would do anything for his family and friends. Please keep his wife and two sons in your prayers and thoughts. He died doing what he wanted to do, but he will be sorely missed.

God bless his wife and children and comfort them. God rest the soul this warrior and husband and father, and weclome him home. As a nation we all have lost a treasure, but are grateful beyond words for his commitment, protection, and sacrifice. Of such bravery, valor and honor is this nation founded in bedrock.
Again, please pass on our condolences and respect, love and prayers to his family. God bless them.

Rangerwife,
My friend, I am very sorry to hear this.
My prayers are with you and your husband as you deal with the loss of a friend, and with Steve's family as they cope with the sacrifice of a husband and father.
Words cannot express the gratitude I have for these brave, noble warriors.
God bless you all.

I notice the date he joined. Two weeks after Iraq invaded Kuwait. Do you know if that prompted him?
