Find comfort in this, Dear Sister.
Every day that passes before you is one day closer to your being in his loving arms again. Those arms will not tire from the toil of the earth. They will not tremble from illness or age. They will be strong and heavenly and they will envelope you forever without fear or pain or tears or the possibility of separation for the balance of eternity.
I lost a dear son in 1988 and I know he and others I love are waiting to share the eternal joy of heaven with me.
Your time remaining here is but a brief blur of a hummingbird's wing. The real joy you will share with your husband in the life beyond will never end.
You know where you are going and you know who will be there waiting for you with a bounty of love beyond our earthly understanding. He will not forget or forsake you for your bond of love with him transcends the mere mortal life.
This is the gift of eternal life through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
It is OK to cry and miss your beloved husband but your separation from him will only be for a little while.

I am so sorry for your loss. Nothing and nobody can feel your pain right now. All we can do is hold you in prayer. May the Lord hold and keep you with His grace and mercy. Thank you for sharing your beautiful words and those last moments as he passed in to eternity. God bless!

Take comfort that Norman is with our Heavenly Father.
God Bless You, it's common for the dying person to have that special lucid time before dying, I think it's a gift to the ones left behind, a final summing up and an affirmation that one's life was well spent and that in the spite of the immediate anguish Life was a great gift and that in the end all is well.
Barb, this is a time to go to your church family and ask for help. Don't let pride get in your way becauseGod loves the humble.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for putting these two people together who obviously loved each other so much. I pray that you will give Barb the strength she needs to continue on without her husband until the day that you take her home, too. Take her and hold her tight and help her stand until she can do so on her own again. In Jesus name, Amen.

When I had surgery a couple of years ago, being self-employed with no insurance, the prayers of my FRiends not only carried me through, but I was able to get Medi-Cal to pay for the surgery, and I did receive some very much-needed help from Freepers Who Know Who They Are, and to whom I am extremely grateful.
