Pity George Lucas.
Why should we pity George Lucas? The man could fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool with ten-thousand dollar bills and still have money left over. The Lucas six-episode saga of good versus evil, StarWars, is being dissected by nearly everyone who sees them. I must admit, I cant resist doing some dissection myself.
This last episode, Revenge of the Sith, is drawing more attention than the previous five installments.
For anyone not familiar with the Star Wars movies, all one needs to know is that the Jedi Knights and the Sith are sort of like cousins. Both have the ability to use a power called the force, which is an inborn ability to draw power from all that is around them.
The Jedi use this power for peace and good and the Sith use it for evil and conquest and draw on emotions such as hatred and anger to make their powers even stronger.
The Star Wars movies were filmed and released out of sequence. The third movie, Return of the Jedi, is actually how it all ends, with good winning over evil. In fact, even the hated Darth Vader returns to the good side as he lay dying.
Revenge of the Sith shows the audience how the young Jedi Knight, Anaken Skywalker, is turned to the dark side and becomes the dreaded Sith enforcer, Darth Vader. His conversion to evil complete, Vader now believes that only the Sith, by ruling with a cruel and iron fist, can bring peace and order to the galaxy. If Vader must kill everyone in the galaxy to convince them of the righteousness of the Sith, he will.
What the bloggers have all been chattering about is the political undertones in the final Star Wars chapter. Is Lucas liberal or conservative? Was he slamming President Bush when he threw in the line that diplomacy should be given more time? Was Lucas painting Bush as the evil Sith master, the emperor? Was the line, You are either with us or you are with evil, a reference to the War on Terror?
Poor George Lucas has repeatedly stated that he wrote these storylines thirty years ago, but no one listens.
As I listened to all the endlessly mentioned references to present day Earth and our problems, I found most of the one-liners pertinent to the dialog and storyline of the movie. After all, Lucas is known for action, not dialog.
There was one line that did catch my attention: Carry out order 66. The reaction of the followers of evil, the Sith, was startling. One minute, these men are loyal to the democratic Republic and friends of the Jedi. They have fought side by side and shared meals. They were neighbors.
When the Sith master issues his order 66 these loyal and lifelong friends turn on the Jedi without hesitation. The Jedi Knights are slaughtered. They are shot in the back. They are hunted down like animals and exterminated. The blind followers of the dark side have no friends, no families, no lives. They have only the Sith and their slavish devotion to its beliefs.
As for the Jedi Knights, they are caught totally off guard. They had no idea that the poison of the Sith had spread so far and wide. The Jedi didnt stand a chance.
I dont believe that George Lucas had Islam in mind when he first wrote about the evil Sith. But since liberals cant resist comparing Bush to the evil Sith master and Republicans in general to his followers, I, as a Republican conservative, cannot resist comparing the danger of the Sith to Islam.
I have had many ex-Muslims tell me that we Americans just dont understand. We dont understand that Islam has pre-programmed its followers since birth to follow Islam and only Islam. They are not American or Canadian or French; they are Muslims. Islam has no country and no borders and no loyalty to anyone or anything but Islam. I am told by those who are in a position to know that Islam has nothing to do with peace and everything about conquest and war.
For decades, the Saudis have funded Muslim schools here in America to assure that American Muslim children are taught in the Wahhabi ways of Islam. The Saudis have built hundreds of mosques all over the country and often placed Saudi clerics in charge to hammer the Islam first and only doctrine into the minds of American Muslims. Middle Eastern Muslims have immigrated here and have spent their time chastising American Muslims for not being true Muslims. Millions of dollars have been spent plowing the fertile fields of America and planting the seeds of Islam.
The Saudis and other Islamics fund it all, and groups like the Council on American/Islamic Relations and the American Civil Liberties Union protect it. American gullibility feeds it.
The question remains: When American Muslims are given their order 66, how many will follow it? There is no way to know.
There are roughly 6 million Muslims in America. If only 20% answer the Islamic call to battle against their fellow Americans, that is a frightening 1,200,000 Muslims. Are we ready to deal with that? I dont think so.
What to do about this potential problem? American Muslims are Americans. Having them sign a loyalty oath is worthless, because the followers of true Islam would just lie and sign anyway. Camps are out of the question. It was outrageous when it was done to Japanese Americans and it would be just as outrageous to do it to American Muslims. I believe that there are millions of American Muslims who really do believe Islam is peaceful. When the shooting starts, they will be targets right along with the rest of us.
Which brings us back to the first square: What do we do to prepare for this possibility?
Perhaps the best way is to realize that the threat exists. Americans must realize that Islam has not been high-jacked by anyone. Islam is what it is: dangerous. Once a threat is exposed, that threat looses the advantage. Islam will lose the element of surprise. I dont want Americans caught by surprise like the Jedi Knights were.
Americans must start paying attention to the former Muslims who are yelling at the top of their voices but no one is listening. We must start paying attention to cries of warning coming from the Christians persecuted in Islamic countries. If Islam was tolerant and loving, as it professes to be, Christians living under Islamic rule would be free to practice their own beliefs instead of being imprisoned for the crime of not being Muslim.
The warnings have been given. Its time Americans started listening before that order 66 is given. Once it has been given, it will be too late.

No, Barbara, it was NOT outrageous then, and it's just the beginning of what we need to do now.
Mornin' Leapfrog...how bout adding me to your ping list also. I hear you have the forms, LOL.
Excellent article. Thanks for the ping Char.
Morning'. Looks like I already added you by virtue of something you posted.
(Way to go!)
I actually don't think this is a silly comparison... for the non-political junkies, it's a very effective way to illustrate the single-minded path of Islamicists. George Lucas played it out on screen, people can translate it into real life with not too much trouble. The more people who see what is going on, the better!
Barbara - GREAT column!
Christianity has no borders. Islam does. Islam is a political system as much as it is a religion.
When slaves are seized in jihad, they must be taken to an Islamic territory to be divided up.
Their legal system defines 3 types of individual: muslims, Jews/Christians (people of the book), and "everybody else" in that pecking order for rights.
"Like Bush said, "You're either with us or against us" and from my view "You ain't F..king with us!"
Tough talk only. Nothing positive will happen unless the government makes a move toward containing the Muslim threat. But according to Congress and the President it is a religion of peace. (Incomprehensible stupidity.)
Besides, turning against Islam will make you a racist and will not get you elected next time. How are these politicians then going to make a living?
A non-sequitur? Whatever you think of her actual argument, she does look knee-jerk and a bit unbalanced. Lucas says something about Bush, and she "cannot resist" digging into the Muslims? Where's the logic there?
Stock isn't a bit self-conscious about the association of "Republican" with "Arab-basher," which is not the sort of thing the party encourages. And her previous columns indicate that she does have a screw loose about Muslims. She really "can't resist" any opportunity for that sort of thing.
Whatever one thinks of Islam, Stock doesn't contribute much to the discussion.
"Well I've got Col. Hunt's book, and I've finished reading about half of it so far, but I can't recommend it."
Well .. you're entitled to your opinion.
I read about a lot of things that I didn't have any previous knowledge about. And .. while a lot of FReepers may know a lot more than the general public knows .. I'd say Col Hunt's book is going to STUN a lot of people. Just because you know - don't assume everybody else knows too.
And .. even if I may disagree with some of the things the Col says .. I try to understand why he feels the way he does. For people who've never been through the military training Col Hunt has .. I can see why he feels so frustrated. He's a military person and he sees military solutions to situations - and reality says that military solutions are not always the answer to everything.
You should take it for what it is - NOT WHAT YOU THINK IT SHOULD BE. It won't agree with our thinking - and that's what I like about it - it challenges how I look at things vs. how the Col looks at things. I think that's good .. not bad.
Oh yeah .. have you called Norman Minetta yet ..??
You and I are outnumbered 10:1.
The public schools are churning out neutered males every year, and fathers are not teaching their sons to be men.
BLOAT
The thing that really turned me, was the Jedi's dedication to the collective over the individual. The individual is nothing to them. They would sacrifice anyone for the betterment of all. Except the one they sacrificed....
You will need to try much harder.
As usual, Barbara is exactly correct. But Americans are too distracted with bread and circuses to even care that they are an endangered species. Add the dissembling and lies of the abortion party to the mix and, well, it may already be too late to survive the onslaught of evil Islam. And we're paying for the conquest from Wahhabism --with our petro dollars-- which one major political party doesn't want to fix until they claw and lie their way back into power.
