Oh, yes, interesting!
I've watched a lot of his interviews this week, and still would never, never vote for him for anything.
When he in the Presidential Campaign at Hilton Head, SC in essence thumped his chest, bragging about his having been a P.O.W., he might just as well have thrust a dagger in it -- an unwritten code says one never uses that for yourself in that way, and just let others say it....
He was *certain* it warranted him the huge veteran vote this state has, but more than 50% of us selected GWB as the candidate - and gave him his Very First Win in the Campaign, on his way to the White House..:))

It is difficult to express the pain, pride, joy, concern, fear, love, frustration etc. that we all experience with regards to our fine men & women in harm's way. We continue to pray for their safety, peace & courage. And we pray for peace & joy for their families.. many of you have been there or ARE there now.. we thank God for men & women of vision and courage who have done their part to protect our great nation and the ideals we stand for.
I am so grateful to you here & others who have shared on this thread & the many other fine threads posted over the weekend to remember our war heroes. living & dead.
Cigar Guy as our official weekend hero is the ideal rep.. he loves our country, his family, his corps & his God. Does it get any better than that? (oh, yea, he is kinda cute?.. but so too is the lovely Mrs.Cigar Guy.. April) . A lovely couple & deserving of praise & honor.
