Warned you that the Blue Bunny flip flopping would be nothing compared to what Hillary would be doing in the days ahead.

To show comity, which someone forgot to tell Jeffords who voted nay. It's a facade; a total waste of time but that's what we've grown to expect.

Lately, politics does nothing but raise my blood pressure.

Jeffords, what a jerk.

Why vote on cloture instead of just voting on the nominee?

Because cloture is the question on the table, left over from last night. They could have done it by unanimous consent, but they do need a vote of some sort to be able to move on to the vote to confirm.

There seems to be a putsch in the 'RAT ranks. That may (or more likely may not) be the only good thing about this.

Why would a Myers or Bolton cloture violate the MOU? Bolton isn't up for judge so that's outisde the agreement. RATs declare Myers extreme and they are in compliance with MOU.

Frist says all nominees get an up or down vote. The MOU means squat. If it comes to a cloture vote, either it passes and they get to the nominee, or Frist gets out the Constitutional Nuclear Byrd option.

Bolton and District court judges aren't part of the deal, because the DEMs haven't obstructed taking votes on them. If they do, well, we'll see what the GOP does.

This is a vote to agree to stop debating and vote on Owens. At this point I don't see any dem voting no.

Thank you. It's like a differnt world between last night and today.
