I knew it---I knew that Section 2 Part B was going to bite Frist in the Butt--- I remember well that we agreed on that last night -- but it won't bite Frist on the butt (he isn't a party to that agreement) -- it will hang McCain et al. They might have to choose between violating that agreement or alienating 48 Senators from their own Party AND the President --- BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Frist did not say anything like that. He did say that the nuclear option was STILL on the table. I am an extremist who is looking forward to the explosion.

Well you can now see that last night changed nothing. Teddy is still slamming Owens. The 'deal' could be negated as early as this morning, LOL.Teddy is irrlevant. We are stuck with this deal that only Neville Chamberlin could love until and if the Dirty Dems (Salazar, Landrieu, Byrd, Pryor, etc.) fail to vote for cloture.

How many times must McCain be hoodwinked by Democrats before he just hangs it up and walks away?
Obviously, sitting out the Vietnam War locked away in a cell taught him to resist everything others did, even if his actions made little sense. Again, he has not solved the problem of judicial filibusters and may have condemned this nation to another Earl Warren-like Supreme Court.
Maybe McCain feels that those senators who opposed filibusters of civil rights legislation were also extremists? Undoubtedly, he would have taken that position if it meant that he would have more face time on the news networks.
Once again, as with campaign finance bill which restricted political dialogue in violation of the First Amendment and with the tobacco settlement which was not spent primarily on health-related items (I am a nonsmoker), he has engaged in a craven sell out of his party's principles.

With 7 (SEVEN) Republicans ahving defected to the Democrats, promising that they will NOT vote for the Constitutional Option, Frist only has 48 votes, NOT ENOUGH, to end the filibuster.
Frist should have worked to keep at least some of those 7 traitors in line BEFORE they signed away the rights of the Republican majority.
There is nothing Frist can do now, except wring his hands.
The Dems WON.
Haven't you heard, that they are now the new majority (45 DEms + 7 Rogue RINOs voting with them)?
The Republican agenda is dead, the Republican Senators may just as well all go home now.
To: defconw
Republican in SC should have voted for his opponent. At least they would have gotten what they voted for.

they are feeling their oats and the MSM is going to feed their egos to the point where they will try to form a permanent power block if this goes unchallenged.Absolutely, but it has already happened. Just look at their comment about SocSec reform. They have sensed the power vacuum and taken full advantage. Whether or not it will last is a good question, but right now the 7 RINOs call the shots.

"The RNC needs to be inundated with a herd of stampeding,
MAD elephant phone calls"
I just put my contribution form in the mail for the RNC. It contains no money. I wrote over the donation area that I will no longer support them. I will give to real Republicans.
To: fooman
He is trying to explain his thinking. I am SO out of patience with Lindsey Graham!
To: AliVeritas
Can you believe that EVERY RINO'S office I called today,
the phone was busy......except McCain's........they just simply didn't answer.
Blowback, anyone?
