Those 14 senators are whackadoodles. There are too many on the left like drunk Teddy and too many on the right like Grassley that will refuse to be muzzled.
I suppose the 14 can prance around the senate floor all day saying the nuke option is gone, but saying it doesn't make it so.
ugh....the swimmer is sickening

This "agreement" was all about PR. The 7 RINOs will now be subject to the MSM's pressure to block "controversial" nominees.

Frist is a good and decent and honorable man. Quiet, consistent courage to stand up for what's right will eventually prevail.

Here's where the nine-judge figure comes from. Democrats killed three judges in the last session -- Estrada, Pickering and Kuhl -- through filibuster. Even though they have agreed to vote on Brown, Owen and Pryor, they haven't agreed on Saad, Myers and two others hanging fire. That leaves seven in the dust. In addition, Dem sources told the New York Times today that Republicans also have agreed to kill the Kavanagh and Haynes nominations, now before the Judiciary Committee. Hence, three judges survive -- a minimum of seven and maximum of nine go overboard. This is not acceptable.

Well you can now see that last night changed nothing. Teddy is still slamming Owens. The 'deal' could be negated as early as this morning, LOL.

McCain's agreement will be as effective as McCain/Feingold
Keep in mind that his Mc/F law brought us the Swift Boat Vets for Truth, backfiring totally and completely on McCain.
This agreement will backfire on him too.
