Graham explained at the press conference yesterday

He told Sean Hannity the same thing today on his program. I still don't appreciate what he did after he said that he was planning on voting for the end to the filibuster.

I don't think Senators make it to the Presidency very often (though they often run). Governors are better suited and I have my eye on Mit Romney.

He wrote the agreement. I think he is an authority on its meaning.

And I just pointed out Graham and DeWine both characterized it as you did right at the press conference yesterday in front of the other signers and nobody raised an eyebrow as if they had spoken some outlandish interpretation.

Graham is McCaine's butt-boy, doesn't know WHAT he's talking about, and has already said that he doesn't care if his constituents don't like what he did.

Please, old friend, don't trust a word he said. Don't fall for the spin.None of what you posted is true or factual.

You live in Concord? That's where I grew up.

My childhood home that my parents sold for $50,000 is likely well over $800,000 by now. It's nuts.

That's just it.

I hold no ill toward Allen but someone convince me this would be different if he were Majority leader? I don't believe it. he benefits from not being Majority Leader though.

I'm still not sold on anyone for '08. I want someone that takes the Dems on and wins. None of the Rep Senators won a thing.

You're right, it does not matter if he is part of the agreement. I think my point at the time was that if there is a filibuster, Frist can pull the trigger if possible (I was referring to a question from someone who seemed to think Frist himself was bound by the verbiage in the agreement)

Only Conservative talking heads, have said that they are the losers.

The MSM is treating the gang of 7 like gods.

The non-involved Americans won't EVER pick up on what really happened...not even if the rest of your scenario pans out.

You are right. Graham wrote the wording.

Disclaimer: The above is not an endorsement of Graham or meant to convey I trust him. It is a mere statement of that narrow fact.

Not to confuse the concepts of "trust" or giving credence with reporting what is said when and where in order to evaluate its weight, but that is exactly what DeWine and Graham explained at the press conference yesterday, right in front of the other signers.

Exactly right cyncooper.

My point is merely that Graham did not, as too many have erroneously thought, change between the announcement of this "deal" yesterday and today.

That is not a statement of approval, just citing the fact of what he said.

I didn't say anyone had to like it. But he and DeWine were very firm from the start that the option remained.

I saw Mitt Romney give testimony in Washington last year, and I was VERY impressed...and you are right, Governors usually are better...

In regards to George Allen, he is a first term Senator, that USED to be the Governor of Virginia, so there is not much baggage in the senate, but he does have the executive experience of a governorsip...Romney/Allen?

Bush had NOTHING at all to do with this!

Would Donald Trump go along with a plan, that took power away from him? NO! So WHY should President Bush? This damned "compromise" states that the president HAS TO TALK TO THE GANG OF 14 AND HAVE THEM AND THEM ALONE, PASS ON ALL OF HIS FUTURE JUDICIAL NOMINEES...BEFORE HE SENDS THE NAMES TO THE SENATE.

I have a feeling that the first time George Bush "consults" with the dems in the Senate re: nominations, will be when he tells them the correct spelling of who he wants...LOL

Smoke and mirrors, spin, spin, and yet more garbled spin! It's all just so much codswallop.

Did you hear Graham on Hannity today? When pressed, he fumphered, whined, and weaseled...NOT in the least sticking to what he had said last night.

The agreement was meaningless. All of the RINO's could have backed out of it if they thought the Democrats weren't living up to their promise.

That said, there was no need for the RINO's to do what they did. It set us back...temporarily.

If that is true, then WHY DIDN'T HE UNDERSTAND WHAT HE SIGNED, WHEN SEAN HANNITY HAD HIM ON THE RADIO TODAY ?

Why was Graham all over the place, shucking and jiving and twisting and saying that XXX didn't mean XXX, but YYY ?
