FReepers be prepared for surprises today.

Hannity did a wonderful job in expressing the conservative viewpoint in this betrayal.
Frist does not sound as if backing down from the Constitutional option, no matter what deals are made behind his back.
Nuke Boxer?
I just ate a chocolate Easter bunny a while ago....I had my fix...LOL
Frist-These seven want the other side to filibuster nominees. Take that Lindsey!!
Yah, his HEAD!
Absolutely. The weasels have handed the Dems a way to save face and keep their power to whine and obstruct. He got nothing that the Republicans already had in their hand. If Graham had no idea of the backlash against him for this, I hope he does now and will look back on it forever.
I heard the little twit earlier on the radio....a news break. He said he figures he'll get some calls from upset people, but it's ok.
He truly figures that voters will forget about this by re-election time.
backroom deals:
Frist can't tell, he wasn't in the room, he'll see how serious everyone is. will find out when people react to the next nominees coming out of the committee next.
You said it--the long run. Don't go wobbly now :-)
Behind his back, in front of his face.
What's the difference ... he's comatose.
I hear you! Hey Lindsey, you misunderestimated us!
Proving the point made earlier that McCain et al were not bamboozled by the 'Rats; they knew exactly what they were doing. They want to stop conservative judicial nominations without having to vote against them. Cowards!
The photo-op of Owen with President Bush is just being done on a mutually convenient schedule. The Senate has not voted on Owen, the nominee, yet. They might later today. I expect it anyway.
Well, why would it matter if ONE Democrat tried to filibuster. It wouldn't. Maybe he means if the Democrats can actually pull off a filibuster, then he will vote to end it. After all, if they have enough votes to filibuster, that would mean that one of the seven dems is going along with it. The point of the seven dems is that they would side against filibusters and keep their side from it by abandoning it...except in extreme circumstances. Then the dems would lack the votes to sustain a filibuster. So maybe that's what he meant. But it was confusing, if you heard right...
Frist is going to fluch out whatever back door deals they have by brining certain Justices to the floor.
Exactly! Which is why they must have a vote on all and nail the RINO's to their record!
The newbie has bit the dust. Expect resurrection under a new screen name later in the thread...
I'm not the one that is wobbly it is the RINOS. Once again though I truly hope you are right on this one.
Caucus discussed definition of 'extraordinary' is very vague. Frist is asking if Miguel Estrada is extraordinary? He's curious to see what the answer is.
Sean - should the President bring Miguel back?
Frist, we'll see...
The trigger evaporated with the 81-18 vote earlier today. The DEMs have agreed to vote on the nominee.
The trigger might reappear - but it's up to the DEMs to refuse to vote, to make the trigger come out.
