I heard on Laura Ingraham's show this morning that NARAL put out a statement that said that any nomination from now on, especially for the SCOTUS will have to agree not to mess with ROE V. WADE....during confirmation hearings!

If Frist goes forward with the vote and effectively disables the spineless seven, he will be an absolute HERO among conservative Republicans.

FYI, Tony Snow says the RINOS agreed to throw a number (5 or 6 additional) nominees under the bus. Why am I not surprised?

(Will the "extraordinary" line have the name Owen, Brown or Prior attached to it?)
To: Txsleuth
I hope they have the cloture at noon, and Frist immediately calls for vote on Owen, then after that vote, call for cloture on Brown, which would mean that she would get voted for sure by the end of the week. If by the rules, 30 hours of debate after the cloture vote passes. Unanimous consent can take that anywhere. Reid even offered to give unanimous consent to take the vote on Owen, without having a cloture vote.
I heard them say that Sen.Biden has some things to say about Boltons nomination--IOW, he is trying to keep his nomination from coming to the floor.
Bolton is on the Senate's Executive Calendar - Frist controls when it comes to the floor.

Frist might think he is running for President but he has no chance in h-e-double-hockey-sticks of getting the nomination. What does he think makes him presidential, his stellar leadership in the Senate? Yeah, it is a multi-level chess game but the pubs are playing checkers.

His career ended when he called us extremists in his campaign for pres, he did it again this morning.
He has made a deal with the traitors and anti-american Senators who have made Bush's, our soldiers, and the US efforts in Iraq, hell for the last 2 years.
McCain and his cohorts shook hands last nite with those who work to have the US lose in Iraq.
Unforgivable.

Senate Republicans might have killed 2 birds with one stone here: The Rat Birds and the RINO Birds. In Texas, we call this "calf rope". The only question is "when is it gonna cinch up?"
