Filibuster deal: Freepers, please "hold your powder"
n/a | 05/24/05 | jdsteel

Before we explode in disgust about the RINO defectors, please consider this: IF the nominated judges get an up or down vote, we win. If a nominated judge gets blocked by filibuster again, we can still "pull the trigger" on the constitutional option...this time with "betrayed and outraged moderates" leading the way. As much as I want to just respond to this emotionally, I am trying to show patience to see how this pans out over the next month. I also am looking forward to seeing how the DUmmies seeth as judges are nominated. So, please, "hold your powder" but keep your eye on the target.

As Rush so aptly points out, McCain might as well be a Democrat. He votes with them anyway.

It seems rather foolish that the Republican Party has within it liberals like Chafee, Snow, Collins if the Republican Party is consistently undermined in their resolve to push a conservative agenda by these RINO's (and they are Republicans in name only for sure).

What good is being the majority, if the Democraps run the damn show????

If Frist had from day one executed the Constitutional option and got it done with, then he stood a much larger chance of getting passed.

As it is with all the delaying, he has only emboldened the liberals to push back harder. Give an enemy enough time and they will eventually find your weakness and exploit it.

I have long been ranting and raving for Frist to "JUST DO IT, DAMMIT!!!" and quit talking. Yet, in my heart, I knew by the delaying we (our hopes of a true majority) were toast.

Leaders LEAD, and Frist with the rest of the Republican Senate are limp wristed spineless pussies. What was that old saying? "All that is needed for evil to triumph, is for good men to do NOTHING!"

As for Lindsey Graham, may he feel the full wrath of South Carolina voters.

"Frist's incompetence...."

You can't blame Frist really. I blame McCain and his tremendous ego and then there's Graham is lapdog. Now those two, I do blame.

I had just scheduled to record "Faith of my Fathers" on my TIVO. I just went back and deleted it. I hope his movie flops big time.

I'm talking about McCain's movie "Faith of my Fathers" about his days as a POW in Viet Nam.

It's obvious, from their behavior.

I didn't know he had one. Doesn't matter... I consider him a turncoat for sure now. I voted for him last year because of his loyalty to Bush. I ain't voting for him anymore. I'm finished.

Our purpose in this quest, to these people, is to serve as useful idiots. I, for one, am tired of this. It will never get any better. Enough. Find someone else to use. I now realize that I'm on my own, that I have always been on my own, and that I always will be. And that's OK - I'll be fine.

Exactly.

"Many, My good friend is a lobbyist in DC"

Then I would encourage you to publicize this information. Send letters to the editor, etc. People need to know this is going on.
