LIVE: WA State Governor election-fraud trial begins
TVW (WA public affairs cable) ^ | May 23, 2005 | Hank Rearden

Posted on 05/23/2005 9:58:24 AM PDT by Hank Rearden

The trial to determine whether Christine Gregoire stole the governor's election last November began today at 9am Pacific time.

(I can save everyone a lot of time . . . SHE DID! . . . . but for some reason the lawyers insist on playing their silly games.

My link is to TVW (essentially local C-SPAN), which is broadcasting the trial live on regional cable, and streaming on their website. More coverage is available here on NWCN as well.

This is a landmark trial, as it looks to expose massive 'Rat corruption and voter fraud.

Can you translate that into English? Does this mean that the fraudulently-filed absentee ballot accounting that was used to certify the election will be part of the case?

Maybe I can clear it up. While fraud was not a part of the petition. Everything encompassed by election fraud would also be an election 'mistake', 'irregularity', 'false certification', etc. As a practical matter, the judge is saying that you can enter evidence of fraud because if you can establish fraud, you have also established your other claims as well.

When Foreman offered to prove fraud, he was saying that the Republicans have evidence to prove far more than what the original petition claimed; so much so, that it could right be alleged that intentional, or even criminal, fraud was committed.

The two of them are reading a Dean Logan deposition, each playing a part - right?

Yep.

There was a mention of a guy named VanderStoop. A woman named VanderStoep is/was a judicial assistant for a state SC judge. Wonder if there is a relationship there.

It must be 5 o'clock somewhere!

I hear that there are folks in Antartica who enjoy hanging out at the south pole because it's always 5 o'clock there!

No, he's made his intentions clear: If the Court declares him winner, he steps down after setting up a revote, which would likely take place in November.

Which is just fine. He'd win by 10pts easily this time.

Interesting. Just what do we pay that guy to do, anyway? He can't inspect, he can't investigate, he can't prosecute. He can, however, apparently cash his paycheck.

"Oops! It looks like another door is opened to say that the fraud admitted by Way served to deceive the entire legislature and subsequently the citizens of Washington."

I am looking forward to see what is behind the remaining doors. :-)

Reed, in depo, just said that votes could either be stuffed or stolen. This goes directly to the fact that the ballot box was stuffed in at least two pro-Gregoire precincts and votes stolen from at least two pro-rossi precincts.

Reed is now all but saying fraud was committed. Problems went far beyond glitches.
