Just leaving the movies in downtown Palo Alto. Cops are all over, sealing off the two main streets. Gang of black dressed punks just tore thru breaking stuff up. Still on the rampage. Every cop in Palo alto and Menlo seems to be on the streets. All traffic diverted. Developing.

I listened to John Rothman on KGO last night, how sad, there
was a time that his knowledge of the mid-East was of value.
Today he and his callers simply read the communist agenda.
I couldn't believe all the people who think we should not go

I do not know how to get this country to wake up.

200 join anarchist protest in downtown streets; at least two arrested
Palo Alto police called in reinforcements from throughout the Peninsula after approximately 200 youths joined an anarchist protest that closed down parts of University Avenue for about half an hour on Friday night.
Police reported minor damage as a result of the melee that started at Lytton Plaza shortly after 8 p.m. and spread to downtown streets.
A plate glass window was smashed at the American Express office on University Avenue, and trash cans were tossed into the streets. Rowdy protesters jumped on top of cars stopped on Hamilton Avenue, frightening drivers. Graffiti was spray-painted onto the pavement.
At least two arrests for vandalism were made, but no injuries were reported, Palo Alto police agent Dan Ryan said. Police fired no shots and did not use Taser stun guns on the protesters, Ryan added.
Organizers of the protest said they were part of an international movement called Reclaim the Streets, which seeks to take back public spaces from businesses and to use them to create community.
``A bunch of these kids really think the capitalist system is messed up,'' said a 16-year-old who identified himself as ``Robin'' and said he was from Palo Alto. ``This is what anarchism is about, it's about going onto the streets and changing things yourself.''
Organizers brought a sound system, and dancing teenagers briefly took over a portion of University Avenue as puzzled residents gathered around.
But the group splintered, and several dozen people headed down Hamilton Avenue yelling ``Whose streets? Our streets.''
``We have a right to be here as much as the cars,'' said Sarah Gramisa, 21, of Stanford University.
The protesters played cat-and-mouse with the police for about half an hour, at one point fleeing into a back entrance of Borders bookstore.
``They almost got to the front door when they saw the police and -- boom -- they went back,'' said Chuck Pitt, a supervisor at Borders. Pitt said the protesters knocked over a couple of books in their haste, but otherwise did no damage.
The crowd had mostly dispersed by 9:30 p.m.

I used to listen to John Rothman only because of his perspective on issues pertaining to Israel. John Rothman is one of those liberal Jews who goes along to get along. He is really no different than those Jews who turned their back on Moses and worshipped the golden calf.
KDWN being in Las Vegas is well out of my range here in Southern Oregon and pretty fuzzy when I was in Monterey (central coast of CA). All I could get at night is the looney Art Bell program on five different stations. There must be a lot of people out there up all night on drugs to listen to that garbage.
North West Arizona is where a long time close friend of mine is assigned as a DPS officer. He tells me the methamphetamine problem is as bad there as it is in CA, OR, WA, and many other places.
Some people say I am nuts when I tell them I think the methamphetamine phenomena and drug abuse (including marijuana) is really a chemical warfare attack against Western Civilization.
I will bet most of those participating in this display of stupidity described on this thread are dopers that go to rave parties and use ecstacy, smoke dope or employ any other manner of intoxicants. Their philosophical positions on issues are logically indefensible. And as it is in Europe, their resistance to Western military involvement in the Middle East conceals their neo-pagan religion and desire for drugs.
Afghanistan and other places are a great source for European heroine and hashish. Iraq was formerly Babylon, the birthplace of the ancient Chaldean cults of modern neo-paganism and astrology. The Islamics are pagans as well, and this is partly why the neo-pagan, Left wing mystery cults in the West have such a sympathetic (read: emotional), irrational romance of support for them...
History... Babylonian paganism, Egyptian paganism, Greek paganism, Roman Paganism, Teutonic NAZI Paganism, Marxist paganism, modern New Age neo-paganism and Islamic paganism are all aligned against the Judaic principle that founded Western Civilization: Mosaic Law. Think about it. (I could give you a forty hour graduate level university lecture series on the topic, but it's early and I have got some other work to do.)
