I went Friday at noon after jury duty, so had the day off anyway.
The one before and mine was sold out. Just amazing.
A good day for the rest of us to enter contract re-negotiations!
I'll wait a few days, until the people whose arms don't move when they walk have seen it for the fortieth time.
Anyone so obsessed with a MOVIE that they have to ditch work to go see it has a SERIOUS mental problem.
And the obsession with this particular movie has gone FAR beyond rediculouis. The darned movie is going to be at local theaters for a LONG time - what is it with the obsession to see it in the first couple of days (and thus being in a crowded theater and possibly waiting in line for hours).
I at least can see a LITTLE bit of logic in the folks who spend a few hours in line for concert tickets - at least they are trying to see a LIVE event (although it still seems a bit twisted). But for a MOVIE????
Some folks need to get a life.
Anyone who can't see a movie without pooching their job doesn't deserve either.
Mark this day, this website and this article because the world is officially "Out Of News" and this is where and when it happened.
And on another thread, people were wondering what the poor programmers on a software factory ship anchored outside the 3 mile limit would do for entertainment. Duh! Ship-o-geeks. Video games, Star Wars flicks running 24x7 in the ship's theater, heck ... maybe they could build their own holodeck.
Smart IT managers reward their better performers with tickets and time off for Star Wars.
I think this malady is referred to as Wooky Hooky...
More junk economics.. Even if they took off the full day, the work would get done today or Wednesday before they took off. Just like a one day boycott doesn't do anything - you just go in the day before or the day after to get what you want.
No worries for me. My boss took a few of us from the office for a 2:45p showing Thursday. Even better, he paid for us!
