Filmmaker Claims Jim Morrison Is Alive In Oregon

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – Here’s news that will light the fire of Jim Morrison fans: A filmmaker claims The Doors’ frontman is alive and raising horses on a ranch in southern Oregon.

Rodeo photographer Gerald Pitts insists Morrison didn’t die in July of 1971 and he has current photographs and film footage of the rocker to prove it.

Pitts, who met Morrison in 1998, says the rocker staged his death because of a French conspiracy to kill him, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix with narcotics because they were all Vietnam war protestors.

These days, Morrison isn’t the drug user he once was, although Pitts says when he goes over to Jim’s house he’ll “maybe have an occasional beer.”

Now Pitts claims that Morrison is announcing he’s alive, in part, to promote his recent agreement to star in a rodeo shoot-out movie based on events that actually happened to Pitts.

Pitts’ whole story airs on A Current Affair tomorrow (May 20).

I saw a lot of Hollywood types when I lived in LA and Aspen, a couple I "talked to" before they became (in)famous but yeah, by and large the only way I could tell they were probably famous is when they 1) parked anywhere they wanted and where 2) tiny. Some of those dudes couldn't make 5'5" if they were put on the rack.

I think the one exception was the little known actress Susan Anton. Didn't have a lick of makeup on (that I could tell) and was almost as pretty as Mrs. Texan. Drop dead georgeous.

We get quite a few Hollyweird types around Austin these days but I'm clueless, think I'm out of the who's current loop.

Isn't Sly Stallone the one who makes everyone stand someplace lower than he does?

"How many of us DO look like we did in the 70s?"

That's very true.

But I bet Jim looks quite a
bit worse than most of us do. ;o)

I wonder if Elvis and JFK live in the same neighborhood.

If they do a lot of the same dope...

"This post made me think of some mildly contradictory lines in If 6 Was 9: "

Moe,

Is that you?

Funny - I quoted the same song - and the anti hippie line.

Machine Gun is the only anti Nam song I recall and that was the influence of Buddy Miles and ? in Band of Gypsies I think - boy it has been a long time - anyways, I was in YAF in the 70's and Hendrix was not the typical anti war glitterati rocker.

BTW - remember the poster of Hendrix by the German guy where he was "wired" into the universe with all the cables coming out of his Afro?

I always thought that was the inspiration for all the silicone valley kids in smoke filled rooms to create the internet.

"Can you Imagine the french doing ANYTHING! "
""Tell that to the Sailors on the USS Cole who were given emergency medical treatment by the French military.""

Fair enough but that is trumped by Vichy and their rollover to the Nazis, their greed at
Versailles, and their prior obfuscation withn the intelligentsia that gae spawn to leftist relativism.

PS- I hate Picasso too

In today's society they are, but when they were performing in the 60's & 70's they weren't all that great.

If my memory serves me right

I would have committed suicide to if I wrote Soft Parade.

"...I was in YAF in the 60's...Hendrix was not one of the typical anti war..."

I was in YAF in the late 60's and early 70's as well. Jimi Hendrix was a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division in the mid 60's.

Thank you for your service, Jimi, in both capacities.

On what authority do you say that? Most of the book wasn't terribly remarkable, just a standard Bio. Do you have any credible source to back up your claim?

I'm no expert, but that's pretty compelling comparison

Lots of similar attributes between the photos. Bone structure, nose, chin. Lips seem a bit off, though

Cover up each half of the picture and compare left to left and right to right. Everyones face is not mirror image left to right side.

It's very, very close.

Never seen him in person. The only actor that I've ever met that I was eye to eye with (I'm 6'4") was Jeff Goldblum and if you'll notice he looms over everybody else. Never met John Wayne but I heard he was about 6'4" as well.

Generally I don't think that height works very well on film.

'Their noses look to be a fairly good match imo. Both have been broken and are displaced to the right.'

My thoughts exactly. The nose is spot on, aging allowed. He is frowning and his lips are somewhat thinned by the action so it is tough to judge there.

The eyes I'm not sure about. Possibly, but the spacing seems a bit off.
