I posted this on another thread:
Did you just hear what Diane Feinstein said? When Asman confronted her with her OWN statement about fillibusters and asked her what had changed, she said that what had changed was that they felt like "all those Clinton appointees were left vacant so that conservatives could be appointed to them!"

"
What ticks me off is that the Republicans should be reading this list every single day on the floor of the Senate!"
And therein lies the rub.
Now I am the last one to complain, but ... what the *#^(@#$% is the deal there? Grrrrrr ...

This would just speed up the debate process and allow for more recess for non committee members.

After 4 days without having the television on or reading the papers or FR, I'm trying to watch C-Span and FNC; my husband will absolutely put his foot down to having TWO televisions in the study. LOL

As I said, liars lie.
I deam of a TV program where the Dims and Republicans sit and discuss the issues, while having to drink the equivalent of one oz. of liquor every 15 minutes. That would be an eye opener!

Is my memory off, or didn't Clinton appoint more than 50% of the Fed judiciary? Or is it just that the majority are now Dem appointees?
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
They gave up already today.

Looks like the shutdown attempt may be underway. Word floating around out there that the dems are refusing to go to committees today, that's how it happens.
