HIBBS, Pa. (AP) A man angry about an argument chased down a motorcycle and rammed it with his pickup truck, killing the bike's two riders, state police said.

Edward A. Belch, 44, of McClellandtown, apparently got in an argument with the motorcycle's passengers Tuesday evening, authorities said. The two people then got on the motorcycle and left, and Belch followed them on state Route 21, passing other vehicles, until he hit the motorcycle, police said.

Terri Lynn Gresko, 44, and a 54-year-old man whom police didn't immediately identify died at the scene.

Belch was being held in the Fayette County jail Wednesday after being arraigned on two counts of criminal homicide Tuesday. It was not clear what the argument was or how Belch knew the other two people, state police said.

He bumped the back of the bike with his full size bronco. He said he was trying to scare him. I don't know if he was scared, because he was killed upon impact with the ground.

Sounds like a bit more than just a "bump" ... ? RedNeck got rammed by a van in 2000 and suffered nothing worse than a messed up left elbow.

That certainly would've been true back in my early 50s "Whizzer" period, which I don't think I counted but can't remember for sure.

There's nothing in the biker's code of conduct that says you'll have to trade in the Sporty, should you decide to get some sort of Bagger. If you enjoy it that much, hang on to it!

Getting a Dresser has allowed me to extend my riding season beyond October here in Wisconsin. It has also allowed me to say yes to extended rides in iffy weather, a decision I would previously weigh very carefully. Then again, I'm not getting any younger, so maybe a Geezer-Glide is an appropriate fit for me . . .

The trade-off of comfort and luxury vs. performance and maneuverability has to be given serious consideration in one's own personal equation. For me, prowess in carving up the twisties is of less importance than it used to be. I am fortunate to have more than one ride; my own trade-off amounts to grabbing a different set of keys.

When I'm on two wheels, all is right with the world; all my headaches and heartaches disappear into the background clutter, at least for a little while. The Dresser lets me visit more often that place in my head where serenity beckons. Therein lies its true value for me.

Now, if I could only afford that pair of dirt bikes and trailer . . .

I just ordered one of these and have no need now to remember my keys! (PS - my 1995's gasdoor lock is not universal. Either use the correct key or get a screwdriver!) I'm tired of the screwdriver. :-)

Man charged in fatal ramming of motorcycle was under abuse order

HIBBS, Pa. - A man charged with killing his ex-girlfriend and another man by ramming their motorcycle with his pickup truck was still under a protection-from-abuse order the woman had obtained against him early last year, according to court records.

Edward A. Belch, 44, was charged with two counts of criminal homicide after the Tuesday evening crash on Route 21 that killed Thomas Myers, 54, of Masontown, and Terri Lynn Gresko, 44, of McClellandtown.

Gresko got a restraining order against Belch in January 2004 after she filed court papers alleging that Belch had abused her and her children. Gresko, a mother of six, said Belch had bruised her and broken items in her house.

"He has thrown pliers at the children (and) kicks the dog," Gresko wrote in her request.

Belch, also of McClellandtown, told police after the crash that he was merely trying to pass the motorcycle and that he stopped to see if the victims were all right.

Witnesses, however, told investigators that Belch called Gresko, his former live-in girlfriend, by name and said, "I told you I was going to get you," police said. Witnesses also quoted Belch as saying he was going to spend the rest of his life in jail, police said.

Belch has a history of alcohol-related arrests since 1991, including drunken driving, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and a probation violation for being drunk, according to Fayette County court records.

Just hours before the fatal crash, Belch posted bond to get out of jail where he had been since his arrest on harassment and assault charges after a Mother's Day argument with Gresko.

Gresko told police that Belch pushed her to the ground, threatened to punch her, and hit her with a vanity mirror. Belch also broke Gresko's telephone and ripped the door off her refrigerator during the 1:30 a.m. argument, which occurred after the couple spent hours at a bar, police said.

Belch and Gresko argued after he accused her of having sex with other men, which she denied, police said.

Belch remained in the Fayette County Jail on homicide charges Wednesday and it was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.

A court file from a 1998 driving-under-the-influence case indicates Belch completed an alcohol treatment program in September 2003. Documents indicate he was pulled over for crossing the double yellow line on Route 119 in Georges Township on April 26, 1998, and was legally intoxicated He pleaded guilty to DUI and was sentenced to 23 months' Intermediate Punishment, with 180 days served on house arrest.

In 1999, Belch was charged with possession of marijuana and was sentenced to 12 months' probation, but his probation officer sought to revoke the sentence, claiming Belch failed to comply with terms of his probation. Belch spent 21/2 months in prison waiting for a hearing in that matter.

Belch was re-sentenced in that case in September 2001 after his probation officer filed paperwork indicating he had not shown up at the office. When an officer went to see him, Belch ran from him and was drunk, according to court documents.

The officer eventually gave him a Breathalyzer test that showed Belch had a blood-alcohol level of .287 percent, more than twice the legal intoxication limit at the time. The revocation request also indicated police were called to Belch's home for reports of domestic violence. No charges associated with those police visits were filed in the Fayette County clerk of courts office.

After revoking his probation, the judge sentenced Belch to 75 days to 12 months in jail. By then Belch already had served the minimum time and was paroled.

Belch also was charged with DUI and possession of marijuana in December 1992. He pleaded guilty to those charges and was sentenced to one to six months in jail.

In May 1991, Belch was charged with DUI. He was admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for six months, but a docket in the case indicates he violated program rules and was sentenced to 48 hours to six months in prison.

The Judge & Belch's lawyer who pleaded for and granted bond could use a lengthy tune up at the gray bar hotel for putting society at risk. This clown had a lit fuse a 5 mile rap sheet and they let him bod out! Freaken stooges.
