The Dimms are threatening not to show up on Thursday to vote on Bolton??? Wallace hasn't brought that up with Chuckie yet on FNS.

What happens if that does will there be enough votes to give him the nomination or does a certain percentage of the senate have to vote.

It should be interesting since Allen didn't do as well a couple of weeks ago, even though he didn't receive a fair hearing of his statements. Still, Allen must be able to respond if he's serious about running.
NY has such horrible senators anyway that one has to wonder if voters there understand what they are voting for. Schumer was never qualified to be a senator in the first place so it's kind of funny to see him trying to act like one.
Is Brit there today?

The Dimms are threatening not to show up on Thursday to vote on Bolton???
That is a new tactic Senate Dems are threatening to use. Apparently, every committee must have at least one of the opposition party (OP) present to do business. If no OP member is present, the committee cannot vote; thus it cannot get nominees out of committee.

Wallace mentioned it on Fox News Sunday...he asked Sen. Allen about it.

I thought Allen conducted himself very well this morning. He didn't get much competition from Chuckie Schumer - Schumer looked terrible and was way off his game. "Flying buildings into planes"? Chuckie, try to get more sleep next time...

Dusty or Dingy Harry, as Rush calls him(we shouldn't sully the memory of the "real" Dirty Harry)is a lightweight and it's beginning to show more often. He seems like a small threat to us IMHO.

If the dimms on the committee don't show up to vote on Bolton, his nomination can't move to the Senate for a full up or down vote.

It should be interesting since Allen didn't do as well a couple of weeks ago, even though he didn't receive a fair hearing of his statements. That was when he was on with Timmy Russert and little Timmy wouldn't let him answer the questions.
As seen today, Allen is great.
It would have been nice to see him ask Chuckie if he considered People for the American Way one of those "far out groups".

Then where does it go from their does that mean it being thrown out and therefore he cannot get the nomination or does another committee have to be appointed?

That tactic was first mentioned a week or so ago, as a threat, especially if the Pubbies used the nuclear option to stop the judicial filibusters.
That is a new tactic Senate Dems are threatening to use. Apparently, every committee must have at least one of the opposition party (OP) present to do business. If no OP member is present, the committee cannot vote; thus it cannot get nominees out of committee.

If the dimms on the committee don't show up to vote on Bolton, his nomination can't move to the Senate for a full up or down vote. And they will just provide another opportunity for the Republicans to talk about RAT obstructionism.
