Man, these graphics are awesome! Why didn't we have anything this cool?
To: MadIvan
BBC is an absolute orgy of goofy computer graphics.

Man! That's down almost a hundred seats, isn't it?? Do we know if the balance went Conservative or LibDem?

The only way America could lose out of this is if the Lib Dems won - which they have zero chance of doing.

He will have majority of 66. This is good because it will lead to another General Election in 2-3 years (instead of 5).
To: pbrown
ITV also calling a Labour win. :-(

The Lib Dems look like bananas and the Conservatives look like they've been bought out by British Telecom.

But the BBC exit polls predict the Tories are doing better in the Labour marginals cutting the Labour majority to 66.

I like the looks of the torch.
I want to shoot the bird, pick the rose and salute the torch. So, are appearances deceiving?

In terms of seats, the poll swings some to each. In terms of vote share Labour - Lib Dem , they are predicting no change in the Conservative vote share.

so Blair losing is good for us?
In some ways, it good. In some ways, it's bad. The Parliament is more conservative, but Gordon Brown would be a more left Prime Minister than Blair.
To: JohnBDay
Gordon Brown is far too prickly a character to be Prime Minister for long - he will offend too many people and Labour will be on the way out.

So If I'm following, it sounds like much of the extreme left abandoned Labour for the LibDems, and the Conservative vote held firm.

I'm pretty sure a Labour win overall was a given, but the size of their diminished numbers should be very, very upsetting to them.
