As I recall, she's appeared once in this campaign - she appeared confused and had trouble getting through her remarks. Mind you, she's still more coherent than most MPs.

I found your countrymen to be quite pleasant, even in the big city.

As the average fellow, over here, gets his impression from your celebs and media folk, he is way off on the actual tone.

My daughter made the observation that the average Londoner cares little about Politics, much less than the average fellow in the States.

Okay, I just heard the Tories might win big and almost fell out of my chair. Then they mentioned "exit polls" and the first thing I thought was the mental patients who voted for Kerry and the media ran with that. When do the polls close?

Quick and dirty: Will Howard be more or less supportive of the US and WOT than Blair?

Yes, she looked very frail at President Reagan's funeral. But, I thought it was a real testament to her admiration for him and I think many of us here in the U.S. were very touched by it.

There would be no change in Iraq policy. The only appreciable difference would be that the Army would get more troops and better weapons with Howard in charge.

Oh, and in terms of WOT policy - no change either. We'll still be there.

Excellent. I hope Canada kicks out Martin - and then all the left wingers who moved from America to there would have done so for nothing.

So.....Fox News has just reported the police in New York City are questioning an employee of the United Nations, from the Netherlands, about the bombing of the British consulate there today.

You suppose by any chance this Dutch employee might be.....a you-know-what?

As in seats gained from the Lib Dems, I'd put Cheadle, Weston-super-Mare, Dorset Mid and Poole North, and Guildford on my list as being possible. There are likely some others as well but I can't really see them losing all that many.

The average Brit is more politically incorrect and conservative than you probably think. And they are very apathetic toward politics. Most of them seem to feel their vote means nothing. London is the most liberal probably but I never encountered any hostility.

We were just over there (England) for a couple of weeks and we were treated very well. We were also in Paris and felt that their attitude toward us as Americans was better than previous visits. I think the French worry more now about their approach as they've lost so much in tourism.
But we have always had a very kind, friendly reception from citizens of the U.K., we love going there!
