Gay men account for 1% of the population and 28% of molestations. So the answer to your question is "no". However, a gay man is more likely to be a pedophile.

I don't know if most gay men are pedophiles, but certainly most reported molestations are by adult men on boys... numbers are around 70%.
Now there can be debate about the accuracy, since females that are molested at a young age may be being done so by close family members and less apt to report it.
However I do know this, I would not let my young son out of my sight if I knew I was going to be someplace with practicing homosexuals. I don't care what they say about their "lifestyle".. its a mental disorder that manifests itself in narcicistic, self destructive and hedonist behavior, it worships youth and "beauty" and abhors anything at all that restricts their actions.... This means your child, or anyone else for that matter is nothing more than a potential source of pleasure for them, and nothing more.
I have never seen one study yet to date that shows me homosexuality is not in most cases exactly that... in fact the dropping of it as classified as that in the DSM was not done due to any new study or research, just out of politics. If the previous DSM classification was wrong, seems to me simple studies could debunk it.. yet, to this very day, non exist supporting the fact Homosexuality is not a mental disorder.

This is truth. The American homosexuals culture absolutely fixates on young men age twelve to seventeen and they do not believe that it is pedophilia; rather, they think it is "normal" homosexuality to desire boys this young.
Secondly if it was purely pedophilia there would be female victims as well... Priests have access to young girls even more so now than ever in the past.
More truth. Hetero priests don't tend to violate their vows with young girls, they do it with mature women who generally keep the secret. While the violation of the vows of chasity is serious (and a sin), I can't believe that it is of the same quality as violating one's vows and committing the additional detestable sin of homosexuality.
As a Catholic I see the need to purge our Church of homosexuals. We do not need them and they do not need us. If they wish spiritual enlightenment, there are other churchs which will welcome them. Let some other Church suffer their pollution.

And it would be good to remember, Cardinal Ratzinger did not take the papacy of his own choice. He was placed there by the Cardinals almost by acclamation. He will be appointing new cardinals and it is safe to say they are not likely to be liberal in their outlook. If the forces in the Catholic Church who are determined to blunt its resurgent conservatism are looking beyond Pope Benedict XVI for a more liberal replacement, they are likely to be sorely disappointed.
This is why we must keep gays out of boy scouts; AT LEAST (much likely more) one out of ten gay scout leaders would want to **** your kid up the ass. Sorry, harsh reality is necessary for our kids sake.

True that. I can't wait to see his first consistory (Chaput needs a red hat). And the quality of new bishops has already gone way up recently in the US -- I expect that trend to continue. I don't know about heads rolling ~ it seems that sort of thing will mostly be handled via attrition.
