They say she had reservations about the large wedding.... I think she has reservations about her large fiance.

He definitely was warned! But if she still wants him, he'll be willing to forgive her and go ahead with the wedding later on.

I'll bet they scale it down though!

That's my pattern and I hate it. My husband chose it, reminded him of his parents silver. LOL
Thank goodness I seldom have to use it, since we have inherited my grandparents I use it.

It appears the parents are loaded. I'm still thinking her fiance was in on it or at least suspected something. Possible ransom shakedown of the parents? It just got so big they decided to call it off? The cops are apparently saying there aren't going to be any criminal charges. This is a tactic they usually use so the perps don't suspect the cops are still suspicious.

NM police reported she had cut her hair.

That's more than cold feet IMO, that's "I don't want to be found"

LOL.

The south is different, and proud of it.

But I'll tell you this...no one tells a better story than a southerner. They are spellbinding and love to talk and eat.

You're right about calling it off. Usually, it just trickles off but to officially call it off is strange.

"And I don't understand the stress level for her in the planning."

The stress isn't actually in the wedding planning. The stress is contemplating spending the rest of your life with that person (if you are not sure about your choice). She can blame it on the stress of a big wedding but that's just a smokescreen for the real issue.

If this wedding does go on, If I was a guest, I would not fill in the amount of the check until after I determine how good the food was!

I suppose the story is good for ratings, but its "hotness" is rather temporary and doesn't replace outlaid cash in the media pockets. I'd be ticked, also.

The media "invests" in true crime stories under the knowledge that some of them will turn into long-term cash cows. E.g. Peterson. It disappoints them when one of their invetments gives up story value early. You can bank on that.

The media also fancies itself as having a good nose for the truth and street smarts. They are not amused when they are exposed as gullible suckers, e.g., promoting a flase direction to the story. They are not amused whrn they get caught lying either, but that's a different story ;-)
