From the cradle I learned that "family business" was not to be spoken outside the walls of our home. For that matter, my parents also thought children should be seen and not heard, and my father was ALWAYS right. I count the moment that I grew up when I realized that he was not always right. I still loved him, however.

never had either one of those beers but the belgium one might translate to "unhappiness" (from French) - pick the other one! LOL I thought heur was hour, but mal is bad and bad hour doesn't sound too good either. The other one's the ticket! :)

In 5 years from now, Alex Trebec will be using her name as a Jeopardy question. Wonder what kind of endorsement deal she can get from this? Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go right now!

I've been reading your posts on this thread since this early AM. Thank You kindly for the insight to Southern Life, as well as the Humor.
I feel left out here in the UP of Michigan.
(i am going to pull out my MIL's silver to polish and use, it is plain but pretty) I had no idea of the importance of silver handed down before this thread.

Considering the bill she's going to get from the police for the expenses for the search, he would be marrying straight into bankruptcy.

This has happened TWO OTHER TIMES! Jennifer would get close to a wedding date and CALL IT OFF! OMG! How could her family NOT KNOW THIS?! "We'll make a wedding so big, she won't DARE to split."
Heheheheh. Guess she showed them who's boss. Again. ;-)

OMG...and HOW could they have kept it from the public?
Maybe that is what we were seeing in John? He probably knew about her past, and suspected she might have run off.

Polishing silver prevents nervous breakdowns. My mother and grandmother used to polish when there was heavy tension, unhappy daughters, angry husbands, funerals, people in critical care, waiting for the news from the doctor as to cancer or not.
Polishing silver, especially old family silver, will keep you sane.
I love, love old silver.
