Zell was on Hardball and Chris Matthews actually grilled Zell on this remark- suggesting that the remark was literal. Chris had Zell stammering a bit with the background din and he was on the verge of looking foolish when he shot back to Chris " What's the matter with you ? Have you never heard of metaphor?"
It shut Chris up for the rest of the night and he never came back from that.
And it was then that the MSM realized that the Republican Covention was a great coup and the Dems were going to lose.

Got his book in the mail yesterday and already read about 110 pages--excellent so far! Includes his RNC speech,
stump speech--stuff about (as he predicted in his last book) how the Dims can't win without the South, etc.

I went to tour the CNN studio in Atlanta years ago. Do you know what they had in a "museum type" glass case prominently displayed? Peter Arnett's jacket that he wore during his coverage of DESERT STORM. It was the most ridiculous thing I had ever seen. Tourists were laughing out loud, and the CNN employees were very upset.
