The more I hear and the more I think about it, the Dems will meekly give an up and down vote to a couple of Bush's nominations WITHOUT using a filibuster. Why? Because the numbers of pro-abortionists have changed. (Note Hillary's BIG drive to cut the numbers of abortions )via payments of course - The Dem solution to everything).

The numbers on Enviro-Nazis has changed also and with oil prices up the kazoo, we're going to become "practical" environmentalists aka "common sense". We have a huge population with huge needs. Wonder how many of those enviro nazis live in a mud house and cook outside with twigs.

If the betrayal of Voinovich resulted in an unintended consequence or a good thing happening from a bad, so be it. (Although it was still a heinous thing to do.) Sometimes conservatives aren't vocal enough, we need to get better with that overall as a group.

I don't know if you saw the Justice Sunday telecast or not, but it was powerful. Those ministers stood up there and said what OUR congresscritters ought to be saying. Frist spoke well too, during that program. And when Bishop Jackson said that he guarantees many black Americans are going to stand up together and see America returned to it's righteous foundations, I could hear a nation-wide soiling of undergarments by the Dems. Big applause was given to all the speakers.

Your point about Hillary is interesting, we will have to watch to see what she does. And what the party does with her.

There is a religious revival occuring in this country. I've felt it for a long time but it's starting to finally be glimpsed even in the MSM. the reaction to Janet's wardrobe "malufunction was a glimmer of what was coming. TPOTC was the first real warning shot. G.W.'s election another. Pope's funeral another. Terri and now ending the filibusters.

We've had it with this Culture of Death and we've had it with these Justices enforcing this culture on us. No more. This is OUR Government and no Judiciary is going to establish itself as a form of Monarchy over us. They serve US, and it's time they learned that.

They counted on Republicans wimping out, and if Frist and the boys can one time; just this one damn time, act like winners, we can shove this vote right up the Democrat's ass and make them like it.

ROTFLMAO. Touche'

I head Thune, Vitter,

I called Vitter and gave him an earful a couple of weeks ago. I was next to livid. I half thought the FBI would come knocking at my door thinking I had become unhinged.

I didn't switch parties to become part of bunch of limp wristed panty waist(although I am a woman)Republicans. The dimocraps are losers on all levels. It's time for our leaders to do our bidding...not theirs. Or, there will be hell to pay come '06 and '08.

My prediction is that the Dems know that if they force us to use the Nuclear Option now, then the game is over for them to prevent Bush from getting every single judge he wants for the next three and a half years. So it is time for a tactical retreat.

So they will roll over on the next few judges for now so that we don't go nuclear, because they are going to lose in the short term no matter what. They will then proceed to work like dogs to peel off RINO support for the measure in the future through the media lapdogs. Also, by letting a few through they will appear reasonable and better able to stop SCOTUS nominees in the future.

The Republicans should ram through rule change and end the practice of filibustering judges RIGHT NOW while they have the votes. They should not wait for events to lose this chance to secure this legacy for Bush.

They will still put up road blocks via the committee with things such as holds, etc which all Parties have used in the past to stop or slowdown the process. So don't look for the President to get all his nominees onto the Courts.

Hmmmmm? PD - your statement about Hillary is very interesting - but with Dean/Kerry/Kennedy sort of running the DNC - I see a giant CAT FIGHT - because I believe Reid is siding with Kerry/Kennedy/Dean and they are not supporting Hillary.

This could really be fun to watch!

How can they cower before this middle aged thumb sucking baby. Hand him a blanky and be done with it.

The best, most succinct description of Harry Reid I've heard yet. Amen to the blanky.

I've got a prediction:

The Dems will eventually just vote 'present' on all the appellate court nominees and let them pass, hoping to avoid having Frist pull the trigger until it is over a Supreme Court nominee.

Then they will go all out to make the Nuclear option about abortion and try to use the issue in the 2006 elections under the premise that by letting Bush have his other judges it proves them to be fair-minded.

What we need is for Frist to nuke them right out of the box, and not let the Democrats bring the issue to a Supreme court nominee.

GOP caucus itself..Nearly 25% were elected in the last two campaigns...2002 and 2004..and liek Thune..they fought the race ON these issues..and they won..I head Thune, Vitter, and Coleman in the Senate last week...they do NOT want to compromise..they want to govern

and we need to gain more in 06 - I wonder if they can't speak up louder because their files weren't stolen and copied for blackmail in the early 90's in hiterly's file gate

Imperative!

WE should do another FAX blitz right now - demand it...

I was told last night that they were getting a FAX blitz that really got their attention...

Office of Senator Bill Frist

202-224-3344 and FAX 202-228-1264

Well .. some people who know people in high places ought to put that little bug in somebody's ear .. Hmmmmm ..??

While I think you may have hit on something - I just have to disagree (because you knew I would) - the dems are so filled with hatred and rage they won't be able to control themselves - they will have to vote NO! .. it's the basics of liberalism - emotion over substance.
