BTW, I just called Voinovich's office. I told the aide to please urge the good senator to pay attention to the information coming out daily regarding the credibility of the people against Bolton. They asked why I didn't think the senator would be paying attention? And I said, well, the senator doesn't attend committee hearings, so how do I know he's being kept informed??

Not really a putdown. Mitch has been working on this for a long time. When I went down to DC last year for the 36 hour "Justice for Judges" marathon, it was McConnell and Orrin Hatch that did the heavy lifting.

McConnell is the Whip -- and he knows he has the votes. Question is -- will the 'Rats go "all in" on a losing hand, or will they get out while they still can?
Fortas wanted to be a rich man. He took some liberties to make that happen. There were serious ethical questions about him and he eventually resigned from the Court.
