OK..here's what we know..Senate is in recess for the weekly party caucus luncheons. Supposed to resume at 2:15. on C-span 2.. The Foreign Relations committee is supposed to meet at 2:45 to vote on the Bolton nomination. Lugar has refused requests for a delay. Just before the Senate recessed, Reid objected to Frist's UC request for the Froeign Relations committee to meet today. Frist withdrew his request..
Soudn to me like the Dems figure since Frist is gonna go nuclear..they should start screwing up the place now...
Follow along here as it plays out...
FYI
I'M HERE!!!! I'M HERE!!!!!
Reporting in.
White smoke or black smoke?
:-)
2:45? Is that the vote time? says 2:15 here. Maybe that when they're starting.
HEARING
before the
COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN RELATIONS
UNITED STATES SENATE
ONE HUNDRED NINTH CONGRESS
FIRST SESSION
Tuesday, April 19, 2005
Time: 2:15 PM
Place: S-116 The Capitol
Presiding: Senator Lugar
The Committee Will Consider And Vote On The
Following Agenda Item:
Nomination:
1. John R. Bolton
To be US Representative to the United Nations with
Rank of Ambassador and US Representative to the
United Nations Security Council and to be US
Representative to Sessions of the United Nations
General Assembly during his tenure of service as
US Rep to the United Nations
Me too, I'm here also.
I tentatively believe that "Play Ball" Frist, even, has had enough of the Dems and thinks the time is right to blast 'em. I don't care much for Frist but I think even he is fed up.
As usual, requesting play-by-play for the cubicle bound...
Ping....
Tell it....
Well, IF this Bolton hearing takes place, I think Frist will be happier, BUT hopefully, the shenanigans that the dems are up to today, will convince him to REALLY get tough!
I'd be happy with any kind of smoke coming from Frist's ears.
We might as well just neutralize the Dems now, they aren't interested in cooperation, off with the gloves is what I say. Let's clear Bolton and start in on the judges tomorrow.
Thanks for starting this thread. I'd love to see a new Pope AND a new ambassador to the UN today.
Yeah me too. Keep us updated please.
And now, to complete the day, Bolton to the UN!
Ah, life is good!
Ditto.
I'm sick of the smoke and mirrors coming from the Dims.
If all that happens in one day the RATs will be slitting their wrists....vertically!
They're going to vote to recess right now(I wonder if that'll pass)
Then they're off the the FRC.
