Hopefully Wolfang. Leopold's "Toy Symphony" is a bit silly.

You should check out the slime they're posting at the DUmpster.

I did just that. Their remarks made me cringe. The venom that runs through their veins instead of blood.

Don't apply your personal views to open discussion. I am free to express my opinion.

You know what's a really good idea? Tell the Admin Moderator that they cannot criticize your views.

After all, what gives them the right?

Go get the smarmy b*****d! You just might get your way! Tell him or her again about how you can do WHATEVER you want on this forum and HE OR SHE CAN'T STOP YOU!!!

Cokie is a CINO, and she shames her mother who was Ambassador to the Vatican in Clinton Administration. Clinton could call her a self hating Catholic if he was honest.

It would be slander if it was about t he current Pope, but his father was in fact a Nazi in his youth

Cardinal Ratzinger's father was an officer in the state police ... as was his wife

The sins of the Father were absolved through him, as the current Pope fought communism in Germany

Some of the new Pope's ideology:

"I'm not the Grand Inquisitor," Cardinal Ratzinger once said in an interview. But to the outside world, he has been known as the Vatican's enforcer. He made the biggest headlines when his congregation silenced or excommunicated theologians, withdrew church approval of certain books, helped rewrite liturgical translations, set boundaries on ecumenical dialogues, took over the handling of clergy sex abuse cases against minors, curbed the role of bishops' conferences and pressured religious orders to suspend wayward members.

Sometimes his remarks have been bluntly critical, on such diverse topics as dissident theologians, liberation theology, "abuses" in lay ministry, homosexuality, women as priests, feminism among nuns, premarital sex, abortion, liturgical reform and rock music.

Oh, you know it's coming.

That's why I kept MSNBC on until Chris came on; they just had PICTURES for a long time, no commentary.

We're gonna hear it for sure.

So where does Apostolic succession come into play? I've searched, but have been unable to find any records where Peter himself granted his authority to Linus, and then to Cletus, and then to Clement I , and even Linus and Cletus only seem to head the church in Rome, not the entirety of Christendom.

Check out Isaiah 22. The chapter records the succession in office of the vice-king of the House of David. The office (and the key) is passed from Shebna to Eliakim. The key represents an office. Office involves succession.

In Matthew 16, we see Jesus establishing His Church, and giving the keys to the kingdom (the Church) to Peter. The keys represent the office of the vice-regency of the eternal House of David, the Church.

Additionally, in Acts we see the succession in office of Matthias, who takes the office of Judas. (In the KJV, the "bishopric").

Te Deum laudamus: te Dominum confitemur.
Te aeternum Patrem omnis terra veneratur.
Tibi omnes Angeli; tibi Caeli et universae Potestates;
Patrem immensae maiestatis:
Venerandum tuum verum et unicum Filium;
Sanctum quoque Paraclitum Spiritum.
Tu Rex gloriae, Christe.
Tu Patris sempiternus es Filius.
Tu ad liberandum suscepturus hominem, non horruisti Virginis uterum.
Tu, devicto mortis aculeo, aperuisti credentibus regna caelorum.
Tu ad dexteram Dei sedes, in gloria Patris.
Iudex crederis esse venturus.
Te ergo quaesumus, tuis famulis subveni: quos pretioso sanguine redemisti.
Aeterna fac cum sanctis tuis in gloria numerari.
Salvum fac populum tuum, Domine, et benedic hereditati tuae.
Et rege eos, et extolle illos usque in aeternum.
Per singulos dies benedicimus te.
Et laudamus nomen tuum in saeculum, et in saeculum saeculi.
Dignare, Domine, die isto sine peccato nos custodire.
Miserere nostri, Domine, miserere nostri.
Fiat misericordia tua, Domine, super nos, quemadmodum speravimus in te.
In te, Domine, speravi: non confundar in aeternum.

Given the decline of Christianity in "Old Europe" I would say it timely a Pope comes from Germany.

I agree!

See my #1495:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1386707/posts?page=1495#1495

"Pope JP II brought freedom through Catholism to the benighted Atheist Eastern Bloc.

"Hopefully, Pope Benedict XVI will likewise bring freedom through Catholicism to the increasingly benighted and increasingly Atheist Western European Bloc."
