"And I don't need some guy in a funny hat telling ME how or when I can talk to My Lord."

As for "when," the pope does not prevent people from praying whenever they want to. As for "how," even Protestant churches have authority structures which determine the acceptable limits of belief and practice.

I recognize some of those prophecies, but I think you have a collection of prophecies and I question the source on some of them.

If Malachy is right this is either the last pope or the next to last pope. But all the other signs of the end time are falling into place, so I think we are definitely here.

Where do the following prophecies come from?

Tune into ABC or one of the other liberal networks and you'll be grinning like the Cheshire Cat.

The cardinals chose an orthodox Catholic as pope. The nerve!

He is not worth "convincing." He shows up on a thread celebrating the election of a new Pope and throws out ill-informed slander.

That is the definition of a "jerk" and an "idiot." If you don't like, tough.

May he look to Jesus and lead the church forward with the same evangelical thrust that Pope John Paul did. Amen.

Bttt!

I think I'm the only one here rooting for Arinze...

I was torn between Arinze & Ratzinger, leaning slightly towards Arinze, but I'm still thrilled with Ratzinger.

While I was really pulling for ya, Laz, Ratzinger may not be that bad a choice. His military background would come in quite handy if he decides to crank up the Crusades.

anything and everything not leftist is deemed "controversial" by the MSM.

By leftist standards the constitution is a controversial document to be bypassed by the myth of international law.

The name Benedict deals with the olive.

The name Benedict has nothing to do with olives. Well, you do put one on an eggs benedict, so...

Actually, I'm a historian, so a lot of this is familiar. Many did manage not to be enrolled in the Youth.

I just think there is great hypocrisy in not even allowing a discussion of this matter. Anyone with any concerns are shut down. Not an open exchange of opinion.

We are glad to be a sideshow. The spiritual power of the church should never be used for political gain and temporal abuse.

On Fox, one of the American Priests made a comment about those who had besmirched Ratzinger. I didnt know what they were taking about. I didnt know about the Youth. Doesnt mean anything to me.
