Hmmmmmm, wonder if Newsweak will hand over its liberal "source" or "sources" of the article?
In order to retain any credibility whatsoever, they're going to have to do a "News-tweak." Causing Islamic nations to claim a jihad against us is a trifle more reader interest than the editors ever must have had in mind!
What I'm finding a bit disconcerting this evening is this story is on every single ME news site I have viewed, about 14 sites so far. It is, apparently, a big story over there. Stirring up a hornets nest I'm afraid.
Yep.
Turkish airline suspended by four European countries
Hospital visitors could be charged over MRSA
Polio on the rise again despite global effort
Mysterious disease killing greyhounds in the US
A look at Islamic militancy in Morocco:
Moroccan security services have identified the attackers in the May 2003 Casablanca bombings as Moroccan members of Salafiya Jihadiya, which is believed to be a general name or description of various militant groups.
One such group is the Moroccan Combatant Group (GICM from its French acronym), which is thought to be part of a larger, overlapping Islamic movement.
The Salafiyah Jihadiya ideological movement was established in Morocco in the mid-1990s, fueled by radical Islamist ideas and by money and manpower from Saudi Arabia and other Persian Gulf nations.
The groups' members seek to overthrow Morocco's monarchy and replace it with Islamic rule.
But their struggle isn't restricted to Morocco. At least 11 of the 22 suspects jailed after last year's Madrid train bombings also are Moroccan.
And six out of the seven bombing suspects who were found dead in a Madrid apartment after the attacks in an apparent mass suicide after police surrounded them also were Moroccan.
At least two other Moroccans were linked to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks in the United States.
Zacarias Moussaoui, a French-born Moroccan, pleaded guilty April 22 in U.S. court to six counts of conspiring with the hijackers in the Sept. 11 plot.
And Mounir al-Motassadek, on trial in Hamburg, Germany, is accused of handling accounts for the hijackers while they plotted their attacks, and of knowing their plans to crash airliners into the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington.

I guess I should clarify. Not only is the Newsweak story all over the ME sites, but, the "300 clarics calling for jihad on America" story is everywhere. That's is where the hornets are getting stirred, IMO.
Interesting links. At least there are no new bed bug stories. That one did not make for a restful night's sleep. (I hate bugs).
That's the same thing I found....ME site after ME site after ME site, all obsessed with revenge and absolute intolerance. It's a fine mess they've created, and not one that's going to be easily repaired. They've provoked ME relations and human deaths have occurred from the resulting outrage.
Yep and some of the forums, etc. have been discussing it, too.
Jihad -- another day.
I spared you the bedbug stories tonight - instead it's mumps, polio and MRSA. I hate bugs too, especially the bacterial and viral ones.
I've been following the marburg in Angola thread. It's pretty disturbing. As other's have said, pretty intereting times we live in.
If any of the forums post anything out of the normal rant would you let us know? Since getting my new computer I haven't been able to dig up all my old forum links. Plus, I've been a bit hesitate to risk another hardrive meltdown. I'm working up my nerve, so to speak.

It's Sunday, so haven't been surfing the net as much as usual.
As for anything unusual; no, I haven't seen anything unusual so far.
Thanks Cindy.

Healthy people can tolerate a small contamination with Listeria. Clearly, it can be very dangerous for people in frail health.
