How come you never see any articles about what women should do to make men happy?
** If that's true then why is Cosmo an unofficial guide on how to do cowboys and give a guy oral? How many different ways can a woman do that?

I think Dr. Laura's book about the proper caring and feeding for men was as about 100% accurate as you will ever get.
She caught a lot of flack for that book, but she was dead on 100%!
A man wants some appreciation, not constant bullshido about small frivolous insignificant things that turn otherwise nice moments into frustrations.
As far a sex goes, I can't think of one person I know who does not hear the same, repeatedly from their spouse or significant other:
1. I'm tiiirrreeedd. -
2. I'm depressed
3. I'm not in the mood.
4. I have a headache
When men see that these very same women are fully energized to go to the mall or to go visit some friend's kid or something, these bullshido things listed about are obviously not true. The men then internalizes these things in a very hurtful manner and see no upside to then always trying please the significant other. Ask any man to be hinest about this and he will tell you the same.
Here is my take on the following:
1. I'm tired - Honey, but you always seem so energized to
see your mother and go shopping.
2. I'm depressed - Honey just because you did not get a
Coach bag this week, get over it.
3. I'm not in the mood - To much to write.
4. I have a headache - see a doctor.
That bool sold very well. I love that book. It should say a lot about the state of things between men and women. I hear from a lot of men that they cheat on their wives because their wives don't love them and don't respect them. this is before cheating and what makes they stray so they say. I really do think men don't get enough respect from women which is why I try to be as respectful as I can.
Why VERY INTELLIGENT Men Fail With Women:
They WANT to.
I state the obvious. Many many women have this belief that men are here to provide for them, cater to them, adorn them with everything, listen to them, understand them, apologize to them, all while never feeling themselves that they have the same obligations to the man.
I'm telling you from personal knowledge, most guys I know feel exactely as I wrote, and are very very tired of the typical Amercian woman's attitude about most things.
Sometimes we wish we were back in the 50's. Although it was not perfect, it seemed like a dynamic that worked, although I could be wrong.
In any event, most guys I know accept a whole bunch of bullshido from their woman and get very little in return and never never are tolerated if they act the same way.
The proper technique is to draw you out by finding a subject which will open you up. These things are best handled by men who: 1) truly like women; 2) like to hear their stories; 3) have a wide variety of subjects upon which they can converse.
Most men like that are gay.
The best use of Occam's Razor. The simplest explanation is the best. As much as women say they want an "intelligent, sensitive man", given the choice, they'll usually go with the punks and hoods, and tell the "intelligent and sensitive" guy to buzz off.
The book seems to be written for women who have struck out dating men who are smart and have a large earning potential. The women I've met will tolerate all sorts of quirks if the man has a great job, or inheritance, fancy car, and lives in a big new house and has a vacation home in another clime.
Now if the man has none of the above, the man will indeed have trouble as soon as the facts present themselves.

I've never understood this phenomenon. I've always thought that "bad boys" is just a euphemism for losers.
IMHO....women who are attracted to these 'types' are confusing the generated fears/apprehensions/stress/strain/anxiety/nervousness/discomfort with a sexual tension, a sexual attraction. They may even classify it as a 'chemistry'. Hence they are fooled and fooled again. Again, just my 2¢

I don't know if I agree with this article at all.
I will say that many of the super intelligent do have poor social skills... But those I generally think aren't because they are used to be being right, but that that I believe many of these have slight mental conditions... that make social interraction difficult for them.
I have never found my intelligence to be a hinderence to meeting women. However I learned at a very young age, don't attempt to apply intellegence to relationships... its just not a great practice. The reasoning of human interaction at this level falls into the old quote "man is a reasoning, but not a reasonable animal".
In terms of the "being right" argument... every guy ever born that has or wants a long term realationship with a woman must learn the following when it comes to the fairer sex:
YOU CAN BE HAPPY, OR YOU CAN BE RIGHT!
You want to meet women, take some care of yourself.. use good hygene (sorry guys, but pay the extra $1 a month for shampoo.. don't just use Ivory bar soap to wash your hair)... give them a little attention and make them feel special... and finally... MAKE THEM LAUGH!! If you meet a gal who has no sense of humor (no her not laughing because you spilled red wine on her white dress does not mean she doesn't have a sense of humor, it means you are an ass for laughing at the situation)... RUN RUN AWAY.
I think the single biggest thing I personally see between men AND women.. has nothing to do with intellect, but with individuals who believe they are "all that"... and think that they won't or shouldn't have to ever give an inch.... They repeate the same patterns with the same results and never wish to introspect that MAYBE its them, at least partly to blame for their luck with le amore.
