Prayers for TexasCowboy!
TexasCowboy has been using his hip injury as an excuse to prevent his friends from shooting his new riot gun.
Well some of us offered to take a look at it for him and he decided both a proffesional and sober opinion might make more sense.
So he found a coupon and now he is going to let some old saw-bones cut on him.
Probably a better idea than letting us do it, but a few folks feelings are still hurt!
Please all say a prayer for our Cowboy that he is back in the saddle again real soon.
DARN IT TC! I thought we had this discussion a while ago, about you getting well. ASk yourself this, how are you supposed to orginize a homecomming party if you're down with pneumonia? Some of us are really looking forward to this party you know. So you WILL get better....soon.
So let's get on the ball here, YOU ARE NEEDED...AND MISSED!
One prayer....on the way!
My prayers are said for, TexasCowboy.
Hey Cowboy! Take care partner! I will be thinking about you.
Prayer bump
Thanks Nana for the TC update. Continued prayers for our TexasCowboy.
Prayers up! Get better TC, then get a pneumonia shot:^)
Supplications to the Lord above for the return of health the TC.
Darn!!!! That pneumonia is a bear and gets ya when you least expect it. OK Texas Cowboy...you gotta draw on the supply of faith and friends who are praying and pulling for you more than ever. You can beat this pneumonia too. You are SURE being tested and dont' know why BUT...you are a strong Cowboy and you will prevail over all these setbacks. Get better, get better, get better and we'll all be happy. More prayers for you now buddy...you do your part, we'll do ours and we'll ask our Lord to do a little more. Don't we ALWAYS ask our Lord to do a little more? He's good to us all and now we call upon him to do that little more. God bless TC and we wish him a Happy Labor Day cause we know he is a man who worked hard all his life like a lot of men did and this is his day. He's the salt of the earth!!!
Prayers for Texas Cowboy.

Oh, gosh! L-rd, TC needs a refuah shelemah (full and fast healing) right away!! No more obstacles!!! Please, dear G-d. Now!
"Listen up, Marine - -"
We go way back to February 2001, TC, and covered a lot of territory on and off the forum.
Waded through many memories; discussions on serious topics on America and its directions; politics; indignation over the Protect the Critters and Environment do-gooders, devastating whole groups of human beings in their zeal for little owls and fishies and slithering things; steering an unsolved mystery; and many, many conversations about Our God and what He wants of us in this life.
You and I know so well He has a Plan for every one of His children, are well grounded in that, and rest in knowing He indeed is in the midst of every situation. Remembering that is a daily requisite for this life.
[You knew that from your early childhood, imbued with a David and Goliath mindset,
God always handing you a slingshot to use, giving you the choice to employ it - or not.]
Another one of our bonds came through our Marine Corps experiences impacting us greatly, esprit de corps embedded into the fabric of our being.
I'm comforted, knowing nearly a year of *the most terrible of challenges* can never really put a dent in that...you and I always can retreat in our minds, tapping into that huge reservoir of courage, and draw renewed strength...we see it as another of Almighty God's wonderful provisions for us!
With the operative word of the moment "reservoir"set,
I present a Few Good Men to speak to you:
- - -
"We were at the Chosin Reservoir in Korea, TC...
we hung tough, and know you can...
Chesty Puller is here, too, and we all are rootin' for ya..."
"You remember "Black Hawk Down," TC, when we were in Somalia.
We're with you, man..."
"Here are some of us in Nam in '68, TC" - -
- - - -
"We're with you in spirit."
"In February 2005, we lost 31 of our Marine brothers in Iraq, TC, and we paid our respects.
We took turns kneeling at the display. One man wept, burying his face into one of his hands. Others hugged."
"One Marine played taps on a bright gold trumpet as hundreds of others stood in stiff salutes and two helicopter gunships flew across a bright blue sky."
"We always have time, though, to say a word for you, too, in your battles."
There you have it, old friend.... keep your focus on God's cadence call, and remember how many of us are here with you, praying for you every day...
Hugs n snooches,
as our dear Invictus (military chaplain, WWII & Korea) once said,

Oh, I really hate to hear that. It's treatable with antibiotics of course, but it can be a bugger on an already weakened system. Of course having an already weakened system is part of the way one gets it, it's an opportunistic little bug.
