Prayers for TexasCowboy!
TexasCowboy has been using his hip injury as an excuse to prevent his friends from shooting his new riot gun.
Well some of us offered to take a look at it for him and he decided both a proffesional and sober opinion might make more sense.
So he found a coupon and now he is going to let some old saw-bones cut on him.
Probably a better idea than letting us do it, but a few folks feelings are still hurt!
Please all say a prayer for our Cowboy that he is back in the saddle again real soon.
To Our Precious Texas Cowboy...
Just want You to know that we LOVE YOU SO VERY, VERY MUCH!
And we are Lifting You Up Without Ceasing Before The Throne of our Risen Messiah, our LORD and Savior YESHUA / JESUS.
Avinu Malkeinu Our Father Our KING,
Our Texas Cowboy needs a MIRACLE and he needs YOU now.
Touch and Heal Your servant for we Pray In Your Holy Name.
Remove all fear and doubt, give to TC Your Peace, Your Shalom that surpasses All understanding, help him to simply Trust You.

We Pray O LORD, that You will give to TC's Family, extended Family and to our FReeper Prayer Warrior Family Your Strength and Immeasurable Grace to entrust our Precious TC to Your Care, help us O LORD to know that You are Faithful and that Your Word Is TRUE.
We bow before Your Throne with Thanksgiving in our Hearts and Praises on our Lips for we know and have witnesed the Mighty Things You Have Done and Will Continue To Do for we ask all of this in THE NAME That Is Above ALL Names: Yeshua / JESUS!
Amen and Amen.
LOVE YOU ALWAYS TC!

I'll be thinking about you and praying for you today, TC. I won't say good luck because you won't need it. You have so many people praying for you. We all love you. And I have never met you!!!
"Americans, I am the sacred emblem of your country. I symbolize your birthright, your heritage of liberty purchased with blood and sorrow.
I am your title deed of freedom, which is yours to enjoy and hold in trust for posterity.
If you fail to keep this sacred trust inviolate, if I am nullified and destroyed, you and your children will become slaves to dictators and despots."
Nowhere is this held more firmly and with more respect than by those in military service, where flag rules are observed daily with great awareness.
Please read this with the solemnity and respect it deserves--
The American Flag symbolizes the hope and inspiration that is the essence of everyone and everything in the US. There is another story that epitomizes the emotion and pride every American feels for the flag, and underscores the importance of the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Vietnam War . . . 1971, prisoners of war were moved from isolation into large rooms at the Hanoi Hilton. One of those prisoners was Mike Christian. Mike came from a small town near Selma, Alabama. He didn't wear a pair of shoes until he was thirteen. At seventeen he enlisted in the Navy, later to earn a commission and become a Naval flying officer, and was shot down and captured in 1967.
The uniforms the Americans wore were the Vietnamese pajamas, only they were blue, and rubber sandals made of automobile tires.
Mike contrived a bamboo needle for himself and collecting some cloth of red and white, he sewed an American Flag on the inside of his shirt. And it was the practice of the prisoners that every afternoon before they got their ration of soup, they would hang Mike's shirt on the wall and recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Now, repeating the Pledge of Allegiance may not be the most important part of the average American day, but for those men in that stark prison cell, it was the most important and meaningful event of their day.
One day, the Vietnamese searched the cell and discovered Mike's shirt with the flag sewn inside, removed it and him, and for the "benefit" of the other prisoners beat Mike Christian severely for the next couple hours.
Then they opened the door and threw him back inside. Mike was not in good shape and the others tried to comfort and take care of him as best they could. The cell had a concrete slab on which the men slept and a naked light bulb in each corner of the room. After things had quieted down for the evening, in the corner of the room, sitting beneath that dimly lit bulb with a piece of white cloth, a piece of red cloth, another blue shirt and his bamboo needle, was Mike Christian. His eyes almost swollen shut from the beating, he was fashioning another American flag.
Mike Christian was not making that flag because it made him feel better. He was making that flag because he knew how important it was for his fellow prisoners to be able to pledge allegiance to our Flag and to our country.
For Mike Christian, maintaining that Flag was the right thing to do.
This is why veterans are so incensed when we hear some say
"It's all right to burn the flag..." - "It's just a matter of expression of free speech"...

It's Flag Day, a fitting time to recall the actions of a former Cub

On this day we pay special tribute to the U.S. flag, Rick Monday will dig into his mail from the last week and probably find a letter praising him for his own selfless act to save Old Glory.
People don't forget, even 22 years after the fact.
"You know what's crazy is I get letters on it weekly," Monday was saying last Sunday. "What's surprising is a great majority of them are from young people, some of whom weren't even alive at the time, which is scary."
Not scary, Rick. Noble.
Just as what you did on that day was noble.....

Regardless of the situation, the Marine Corps has an answer for almost everything.
Contact with The Deity is serious business. It is also an excellent idea for Warriors who are expected to put their lives on the line against an assortment of foes. For U.S. Marines of any faith who may desire guidance when contacting their Maker, the Marine Corps has a ready aid, The Marine's Prayer:
Almighty Father, whose command is over all and whose love never fails, make me aware of Thy presence and obedient to Thy will. Keep me true to my best self, guarding me against dishonesty in purpose and deed and helping me to live so that I can face my fellow Marines, my loved ones, and Thee without shame or fear. Protect my family.
Give me the will to do the work of a Marine and to accept my share of responsibilities with vigor and enthusiasm. Grant me the courage to be proficient in my daily performance. Keep me loyal and faithful to my superiors and to the duties my Country and the Marine Corps have entrusted to me. Help me to wear my uniform with dignity, and let it remind me daily of the traditions which I must uphold.
If I am inclined to doubt, steady my faith; if I am tempted, make me strong to resist; if I should miss the mark, give me courage to try again.
Guide me with the light of truth and grant me wisdom by which I may understand the answer to my prayer.
There you have it, folks - what drives a U.S. Marine; and TC and me --
"If I am inclined to doubt, steady my faith; if I am tempted, make me strong to resist; if I should miss the mark, give me courage to try again.
Guide me with the light of truth and grant me wisdom by which I may understand the answer to my prayer."

Oh, El, what a lovely baby girl. God bless her! I'm delighted to be praying with Victoria today for TC's full recovery. They'll like each other!
How appropriate for him to have this done on Flag Day. Prayers for a true patriot.
My prayers for Shelley and for you and the rest of the family.
Thank you for posting the Marine's Prayer. It would be a better world if everyone recited it every morning, not matter what their job.
Ongoing prayers for TC on this day of surgery and hope. May his doctors be as dedicated to their jobs as Marines are to theirs.
Thanks for the update TC!
Prayers are with you!
