Please ping your list. You do not have to be Catholic to light a candle for a great man. I'm not a Catholic, and I did.

Traditional Anglican ping, continued in memory of its founder
Arlin Adams.
FReepmail sionnsar if you want on or off this moderately high-volume ping list (typically 3-7 pings/day).
This list is pinged by
sionnsar and
newheart.

Can someone please explain to me how pings work. I understand bumps, that is just leaving a message so that it goes to the top of the new posts list and works its was down over time again. Bumps are very important to getting allot of eyeballs. Pings seem to be lists that if you reference, it send the message to a group... is that true? And if so, how do you find the names of the list? A Catholic list would be perfect for this thread. I really want to do the Pope proud and get a ton of candles lit. Here is the message again.. please help if you can!!!

Please ping your friends, tell everyone at church, tell your neighbors and anyone else who might be interested. Then please bump this thread all you can. Spread the word! Then, most importantly of all, light a candle. I really do want to do the Pope justice and get a ton of candles lit. Come on folks, we got almost 5000 candles for Ronald Reagan! I'd love to see something similar for this great man as well. |

A ping is really just a post with one or more in the To: pane, to bring their attention to a thread via "posts to you". I will follow this message with a ping or two to you.
