Georgia law: closest living relative has the power of attorney. Reportedly redundant since the judge is going against her living will. But why is she in a hospice if she isn't terminally ill?

I read most of this as it was happening. Any update? Anyone who can break all this info down? I'm being lazy today but there is just so much info on this and yet nothing definite on if this woman is still with us.
Glenn Reynolds (Instapundit) just picked this up. We can expect this story to get legs now, and hopefully someone will get to the bottom of it.

If the "Death Culture" supporters had been smart, they would not have backed Michael Schiavo. The attention that Terri's case brought to this subject has opened a Pandora's Box of opposition this whole issue.
Now, their sinister actions are out in the open and they will face much stronger antagonism than might ever have erupted. In their anxiety to support Michael, they exposed themselves to the increased scrutiny and light of the Right To Life Culture. We will never let them hide again.
Thank all of you who are actively following this story and for your efforts. Sometimes I think, when I am facing this issue, I will want to just walk off in the woods and be allowed to die on my own terms, like the Indians.
Thank You. I fear that this is happening all over the country. Is it my understanding that Hospice puts insurance on some of these people? I read that in another post and didn't have time to respond. Does anyone know about this? If it's true?
Glenn Beck is trying to talk to Kenneth on today's show. One link to hear on-line: 610wtvn.com

Also, the WND report at the top is a great place to start.

-Is it my understanding that Hospice puts insurance on some of these people?-
Don't know about that, but they'll encourage patients to put them in as a beneficiary on life insurance policies.
bttt
Maybe that's what the poster meant. have the hospice put down as beneficiary. How convenient.
Bump to this, also Glenn Beck has Ken Mullinax, Mae's aunt, on his show right now. He's been telling the whole story since the top of the hour. Every word of that original email action alert is absolutely true.
Ken Mullinax is fiercely upset about this, Glenn is outraged and yelling. What they are doing to this woman is unbelievable, considering the details.
He just explained that she has glaucoma and has not received her eye drops in 2 weeks, so in effect she's now blind as a result. That's just lovely.
Ken Mullinax just said that the "Terri bloggers" gave Beth Gaddy about 3000 calls yesterday. He said "They even called the judge."
I wonder where the ACLU will stand on this case????? This is denying the woman the rights that she wrote she wanted, as I interpret what has been reported. Hmmmmm. Has anyone contacted them?
He also said that the judge hates all this attention. Sounds like he wanted to quietly rule on this case but suddenly the whole world is looking at him. I hope he's very afraid. And I hope and pray there will be good reason for him to be. These judges HAVE to be held accountable SOON.
No, but we should!! Seems to me that this Hospice that is killing this women is nothing more than an place for those to become killed, not to die.
