Today is his birthday.

Tell him Happy Birthday! I bet he's something else. My son's birthday was yesterday.

Every year I get to remind him that I was in labor w/him for 2 days and that he broke my tailbone.

As someone put it, "Today we are all Catholic." Besides, how can you tell?

The priests are pointedly NOT asking if people are Catholic before issuing the Host.

Today is MY husband's birthday. He is 44. He is Polish and Catholic and we are watching together before we go to work.

I'm not catholic but I dated a catholic girl one time :) I'm baptist, but I find this funeral incredibly interesting.

I wonder if they are giving communion to *everybody*?

They would be there for Hours if they did

When they run out of Hosts, anyone who still wishes to obtain communion can go to any of the nearby churches and cathedrals and receive it. I suspect most will avail themselves of it.

I know this is a strange thought, but I keep thinking about the poor guy who had to organize this Mass. How many communion hosts did he have to order to prepare for this Mass?

I pray for a Pope we need, someone to shepherd God's people to God, not the pope we deserve.

I don't know, but I know priests had to have been working overtime to consecrate them.

They have to have been thinking about this for the past decade or so.

TWO days?

He was 3 weeks late, they tried to induce me, it wouldn't take, they were getting me ready for a C-section when I finally went into labor on the evening of the 2nd day. He was almost 10 lbs.

Did I mention he is an only child? : )

Yeah... I would think all the talking heads talking about electing a pope that the people want, who will lead the church the direction the people want it to go..... well... they probably don't understand the big picture.
