A Knox County teacher is back on the job after making a pre-school student relieve herself in a bucket in front of other students.
It happened in early March to a little girl at the Sam E. Hill Family Community Center.
Sheila Knight was put on leave while the school system looked into the allegations.
DCS also investigated and found no evidence of abuse.
Knight later admitted to the accusations, called it "a severe lapse in judgment," and got a strong written reprimand. School officials say that was the strongest punishment allowed at the time.
Knight, who has worked for Knox County Schools for almost 20 years, is back on the job.
The student is in another classroom.

Come visit L.A.. You will see plenty of families with 4, 5, 6 kids and both parents must work.
Like I said, I plan on sending my kids to a Jewish private school. Homeschool is not the only 'acceptable' way.

What a pathetic perversion of the intent of those verses. They say NOTHING about children being away during for schools. Not one word is supportive of your argument.

"DCS also investigated and found no evidence of abuse."
This such government BS. You're telling me humilation isn't abusive? If this happened at a private school, the national guard with Abrams tanks would be there shutting them down.

The folks on this forum that cannot support their positions from a biblical perspective Where is it written on the front page that every opinion expressed on FR must be backed up from a BIBLICAL perspective?
And while we are at, which version of the Bible? Which translation? Proper Hebrew or highly political KJV?

Who do you think you are the "messenger" of? Busybody Central?
LOL!! More person attacks. Just great!
I have simply posted what the bible instructs regarding the education of our chidren (for those of us who profess Christ). You have still not refuted where I am wrong from a biblical standpoint, all you can do is say that "society has changed".

You try to make it appear that Proverbs says wisdom and learning should ONLY come from the parents. That is, of course, a perversion of their meaning.

I don't need to "come visit". I lived there for 10 years. You have still not completed your homework assignment. Give me ONE example of a family where the husband is sane and not severely handicapped that cannot survive based on the husband's income.

The 4 bad guys (I know one was a chick) force the girls to relieve themselves in front of the gang members? Is that the connection with the movie? I've never seen it and hadn't heard of it until you linked it. What's the come-uppance for the 4 gangmembers? I'm curious. The review talked about that they do get hit by karma. Please end the suspense.

The book of Proverbs speaks directly to the situation. It speaks about how the mother and father are to raise their children. It speaks about how the children are to obey their mothers and fathers and look to them for instruction. It speaks about how children who are removed from the influence of the mother and father will be led astray. It speaks about how "Wisdom" is crying aloud in the streets and nobody will listen.
I would suggest that you read the book of Proverbs a little more closely before making such rash statements.

Read some Raymond and Dorothy Moore and you might change your mind about this. The best type of education does not occur solely in a school, altho school certainly does have its place.

There is no other perspective that has any meaning to it whatsoever.
We can go back to the original Greek and Hebrew if you would like and the meaning remains the same.

You must be dumb. There are plenty of families here that cannot do it.
It's not my problem if you live in some fantasy world. They have meds for that.

So you think the media should repress information which reflects negatively on some "home schooling" since if it actually writes a truthful article it may show some real problems?
The story of the Dollars was not a media hit job just an example of how some creeps can hide behind the HS to cover up their crimes.
Home schooling is not perfect or 100% good. Nor is public schooling 100% bad though I realize such a statement will be met by howls of outrage.
No public school has EVER starved a child or beat them half to death. Not even in Nicholas Nickleby.
Attending Community College is NOT home schooling merely cherry picking public educational facilities. As I said beyond the simplest of beginning subjects the vast majority are incapable of adequately teaching. If you don't know a subject you can't teach it very well.

Please. Translations of the original Hebrew have been butchered in so many places. There are threads about fights over Hebrew to English translations. Just 'cause your pastor says it means XYZ don't make it so.

I never said that. I said that the "principle" teachers of children are the parents, not some government institution (or private institution for that matter).
Again, I would request that you support your positions through scripture (chapter and verse).

You must be dumb.
Such eloquent vocabulary for a young lady!
Come back and join this discussion in about ten years and we'll see if you still have the same opinions.
